And that's all due to Rinaldo?
- MJL

It's possible the 4th line this year could contain enough actual hockey players to carry Rinaldo and his lack of ability with the puck.

I didn't fully sour on Rinaldo till he jumped into the Sabres defenseman with the score at 4-0 in the third period in April. To me that was an inexcusable display of selfishness and stupidity.

We must watch a different sport. Rinaldo can no doubt throw his fists. He can land huge checks and he skates fast. He has been improving his overall game. He is undiciplined at times but every team needs a guy like Rinaldo. Relax.... He's only a 4th liner doing what a 4th liner does. You guys expect him to be a scorer!!!
- GOA88

He's 5'11". He's not really an enforcer. He's an agitator, like an unskilled Carcillo.

Yes, he can hit and skate fast and he can't do anything else at a NHL level. I strongly disagree that he's been improving his overall game. He takes a lot more penalties than he draws and he's not a good defensive player. He provides no offensive ability at all.

What I expect from a 4th liner is to not be a liability and hurt the team on a regular basis. Rinaldo, far too often, fails that simple criteria

Nope, we just expect him to do basic hockey things like managing the puck when its on his stick, being able to advance play and being in sound position. You know, stuff that other team's 4th-liners are capable of doing.

Can't even explain it in the context of Depraved for McDavid, or Slack for Jack.

Did you not watch the Rangers series and see how much it helps to have a 4th line who can actually play hockey?

blaming the 4th line for losing a playoff series is like blaming the back up goalie

Glad the Flyers got Rinaldo out of the way early. If they held on much longer he would've developed into a skilled player and cost much more on the cap.

OK, not only did Berube say he's looking for Rinaldo to move up the depth chart, he mentioned him as a possible RW for Couts and Read. LOL

I agree, there are things in his game that I want to see him improve on. And I didn't think he did a good job overall. I personally wouldn't have signed him to a two year deal. But at the same time, I'm not going to label him a talentless goon that has zero skill, and shouldn't be re-signed or be on the team.

"I'm surprised that we even starting to talk about it so early but I am thrilled," Rinaldo told the Flyers website.

Even 'naldo is shocked by the timing.

And their other lines did the same thing to the Flyers other lines at ES in the playoffs.
