Hate to say it but Kopitar is the first that comes to mind.
An under the radar guy in this category is (or at least was as a Shark) Evgeni Nabokov |

Rod Brind'Amour was one of the hardest working players ever, he was a machine.
Crosby, Bergeron & Brown I'd say are the hardest workers now. |

Honorable mention to Mike Santorelli, who showed up to camp last year, beating the Sedins 2 mi/12minute run, and played ten times worth his entry level salary.
More honorable mention: Shane Doan; Kyle Okposo; David Backes. |

I hope the author of this piece isn't suggesting that a Cup in Philly with Clarke on the ice weren't goon tactics. Those teams weren't clean whatsoever. |

Has to be Jagr having the keys to the arena so he can get in early and leave late. Maybe not 5+ years ago as a player, but today... He'd be my vote.
Candidates from the Avs would be O'Reilly and Landeskog. |

John Tavares. Watch his highlights his first two seasons, then watch his third. The difference in his skating speed and balance are like he's a different player. Literally was in shock watching him in preseason his third year. The kid has turned into a beast and just keeps getting better. The effort he puts in during the off season is incredible |

The whole team plays with grit and determination... gotta love Justin Williams too.
The guy defines CLUTCH.
Bergeron is up there too... especially playing on a line with a knob like Marchand. |

To me, you can't say someone as naturally gifted and talented as JT to be considered the "hardest worker". IMO, it has to go to players like Hartnell, Smyth, Burrows and others who don't have a ton of "raw" ability but still manage to get decent points and sustain a career in the NHL. |

That's how I gauge it. Who gets the most from the least with sheer effort? |

Heart and determination!
Not to take away from a JT or Crosby, they work hard. |

That pic of Hull is unreal and I doubt he was on PEDs given the era. |
