How did Ian laperierre no make the cut?????
- 28Girouxsalem28

Read the last paragraph, it was mainly due to the fact that both Kapanen and especially Dornhoefer were here for a much longer time. If Lappy had been here for 4 or 5 seasons, he would have easily made the list. As it is, he would still be my 3rd RW.

LOL, probably happens in every generation. I'm sure there were fans back in the 50s and 60s who wished they had seen Howie Morenz, Eddie Shore and King Clancy!

To be fair I should add Primeau, Desjardins and Timonen.

For our favorite list maker, just copied/pasted

Just had Talisker single malt scotch, aged 25 years. It's part of a collection of scotch whiskeys bought as a gift for my grandfather. We got them in Scotland 15 years ago, and just cracked into it!

From left to right, we have Talisker (25 years aged), Oban (29), Glenkinchie (25), Dalwhinnie (30), Lagavulin (31), and Cragganmore (27) single malt scotch whiskey.

Dammit now I'm drooling all over the keyboard!

Usually that only happens when I see photos of Kate Upton in body paint!

I regret never seeing Lindros as a Flyer, although saw him score against us in Toronto. Richards scored his first 5 on 3 shorty the same game. Never saw Tony Amonte or Alex Zhamnov. I saw Renberg as a Leaf but sadly again, not as a Flyer.

Was wondering what he was doing at Kelowna camp... didn't realize he's refusing to sign his AHL deal:

He'll be a top penalty minute guy in junior. What a stud I'm sure glad we grabbed him

In honor of BiggE and crushing boredom, here's my list of least favorite Euro Flyers:

1. Jiri Dopita.
Regardless of how he was promoted as the best player not in the NHL, the bottom line is, he came here for money and it showed in his play and effort.

2. Doug Crossman. Not a Euro, but (frank) Doug Crossman.

3. Jan Hlavac. Hugely disappointing, showed little heart and little interest in using his skills to put the puck in the net.

4. Nick Zherdev. Not much expected, not much delivered.

5. Petr Nedved. Hated him before he was a Flyer, hated him as soon as he arrived, was happy to see him go.

6. Pavel Brendl. Million dollar talent, five cent effort.

7. Pavel Kubina. Not much left in the tank, Flyers overpaid for him and he was largely ineffective by the time he got here.

8. Andrei Kovalenko. He just flat sucked as a Flyer.

9. Franticek Kucera. Clarke added him at the TDL, only memorable thing that happened to him was the puck going off his skate and into the Flyer net.

10. Jaroslav Modry. At the end of the line, also dealing with the passing of his father when acquired.

I would have had Bryz, but I actually like Bryz. But I understand the mediocre play, huge contract and the personality issues, so pop him in at number two over Crossman

I saw Dopita play. Nonfactor.
I saw Brendel play, only noticed him in warm ups.
I probably should have saw Zherdov but he was a healthy scratch at the game I went to.
I saw Kubina play, against us, for Toronto, he scored against us.

The one chance I could have saw Bryzgalov play, he backed up Bob due to playing the night before. Bryzgalov to me had ability. Ability many outside of Philadelphia overlooked. He was under the microscope after making certain comments on HBO. For example, ducking while allowing a goal. I'm sure he was looking for a hole to see the shot but try telling that to Mike Milbury. That HBO series was the worst thing to happen to Bryz. The camera happened to be in the locker room while the guy just happen to be making small talk about how endangered tigers are. The guy likes to read and watch discovery channel, so what? The media absolutely had it out for this guy and sooner or later it was as if he couldn't win, so he stopped caring. In turn, he fell out of favor with the organization.

To be fair, Bryzgalov was inconsistent and mediocre. Had he played well, the other nonsense would have been ignored and a non issue. But the guy played very uneven hockey and made himself a distraction.

I like him, think he's a good goalie, but he didn't play like one as a Flyer. He took more blame than he should have, but you can't post subpar numbers and allow bad goals & expect a free ride from fans & media

I had zero issues with Bryzgalov until the 24/7 special on HBO. I can see how cameras everywhere can be a distraction. Through the middle of this Bryzgalov loses the start to the Winter Classic. It was all down hill from there. Of course Bryzgalov did himself no favours by coming out and announcing it before the coach but Bryz struck me as fed up. Even comments of being asked if he'll be bought out and him responding of not caring, he seemed fed up. He seemed very lovable before all of this.

I like the guy, but his play was mediocre. That's the bottom line to me. They got far more reliable goaltending from Mason for about 1/4th the price last season. Bryz could not be relied upon.

In honor of BiggE and crushing boredom, here's my list of least favorite Euro Flyers:
- Jsaquella

List of my top ten "they played for us?" Euros:

1- Viacheslav Butsayev. Should be remembered by some here. Sixth round pick in 1990, racked up 37 pts in 99 games and was a plus 5. Why did they ever move him? Played another seven years in the NHL, scoring 3 more goals and 3 more assists. Oh.

2- Tomas Divisek. 7th round pick. Played 5 games and 1 goal. Hey, that was one more than Ville Leino last year.

3- Milos Holan - 3rd round gem. 8GP, 1G, 1A, -4. Moved on to Anahiem playing 2 more years. Let go after his 16 game, -12 year in '95-96.

4- Martin Hostak - another 3rd rounder. 55GP, 3G, 11A. That's all I got.

5- Patrik Juhlin - a 2rd round prize. Got into 56 games racking up 7G, 13Pts. My personal favorite. I bought his auto'd puck at an auction. Paid $5. Anybody interested? Bidding starts at .25, shipping free.

6- Tomi Kallio - Can't blame us for wasting a draft pick here. He was the Av's 4th rounder but found his way here in time to contribute 1 goal in 7 games.

7- Frantisek Kucera - a 4th round find for the 'Hawks, totaled 2GP, zero points, and a -2. Thanks.

8- Vaclav Pletka - 7th rounder, 1GP. Zero points. Hey, at least he wasn't a minus.

9- Magnus Roupe - 9th round pick. 40GP. 3G, 8A, -5. Disappeared after that. Strange.

10- Anatoli Semenov - 70GP. Probably the best known of the bunch. Also added 4G, 19Pts. But...he was a plus 1. Actually has his name on the Cup. Bragging rights if you can guess who with without looking it up.
