Disagree here, Kucherov proved he could play at the NHL level. He was responsible enough defensively in his own end, had lots of break away chances, and has offensive skill to score. He got a wore down last season but another offseason of training and now knowing the expectations I don't think he will be sent down. I could be wrong and if he is sent down it was strictly a numbers game as he did prove he could play in the NHL.

He's had less than a season of NHL experience and was okay.

Like you said, he got worn down. He wasn't physically prepared. Nothing guarantees he will be next season. Sophomore slumps happen a lot.

Kuchy has a killer skill-set but, hey, they said the same about Rico Fata once upon a time.

Lets see him play a few seasons before we say he's a legit NHLer.

It's fine . It will be extremely noticeable if he gets sent back down how useless it was . He will just kill It again .. And it will just be a matter of time before he gets recalled

When players get sent down to the ahl for seasoning, its to improve their defensive game. In the ahl, he will be playing top line minutes against the opponents top offensive players in every situation like PK, protecting a 1 goal lead with a minute left, etc.

He will not get those minutes or exposure in the nhl and his defensive development will be hindered in the longrun.

kucherov's defensive game was not bad at all..
if we ice a roster that's going to win then the best players we have need to be on it. kucherov is by far better than panik, unless panik breaks through his wall and makes a statement in the pre season then great that's awesome I would love panik to do that because he is a force when he plays to his full potential.
