From his interview on local sports radio Nieuwendyk really knows very little about the area and our team. Fresh face and voice may help but it is going to take him awhile to get up to speed.

I like Nash just don't see much of him because of the revolting door with call ups here..... Who was the player that you drafted?

I'm a hurricanes fan in the Washington, D.C. area. I've been through a lot with this roller coaster ride team. I will support them no matter what happens and continue to see them here in d.c. and make a few trips to Raleigh....... I tell you the truth when I say I never expect more out of canes..... That way I'm never disappointed.

Martin Marincin. Earned his spot after a pretty cautious development in the AHL. Looked really solid on the 2nd pair.....well...as solid as can be expecting on an Oilers Defense anyway.

Nash has been okay but pretty inconsistant. Some nights he looks like a legit top-6 forward, others he's barely an NHL player. He's big, but doesn't seem to be all that strong for a guy his size.
