You know damn well what he was insinuating....
Hey...If it wasnt for RNH's injury...he could have beaten Selanne's rookie scoring record... |

Not arguing. 2 great players. Trying to distinguish is left to personal preference. |

Which one? That Reilly would have gone first overall if he had not been injured? - Iggysbff
That he is a year older than Nylander (he isn't), and that somehow has anything to do with Rielly's draft year and what spot he should have been taken... |

Umm that if Reilly hadn't been injured he may have gone higher then what he was drafted at? Yeah what a (frank)ing stretch that would be |

I think the injury actually helped him, before he got hurt he was at such an elite level he was flying through the rankings, when he returned to play in the playoffs he was still great but not at that level, which was chalked up to recovering from injury.
There wasn't time to see if he could sustain that elite level over an entire season.
Also, let's be honest, when was the last time an offensive defenseman went first overall? The only defenders to go that high or even potentially that high were big (frank)ers who people hoped could bring enough of a two-way game to be a number one. |

Why repeat yourself? This is the Oilers thread. You can discuss Rielly with the Windigo in the Laffs thread. |
