Kinda been in and out this summer, but yes the flames thread has had a few gooders.
They hate hall, plus they have two absolute moron posters who keep it lively.


Im concerned our center depth will let us down huge. As well as the unrealistic expectations of the defenders we acquired may hurt us. All that with a flames team who buys in and plays a tenacious, defensive style and we could very well find ourselves trailing them again.
That would just be horrible.

If we make some clear moves forward, the retards can say what they want. Wont bother me abit.

Quantifiable stuff like positive possession player, or at least relative to the team, to prove that he wasn't another product in the long line of NJ players being possession monsters.

But I want to see how well he makes the right decision under pressure and just how well he does in the neutral zone. That's something the Oiler's really need as a lot of their defenders are terrible at defending zone entries and get no respect from attacking forwards.

And same kinda goes for nuge. Especially if he develops furthur. His position alone makes him as or maybe even more valuable than hall going forward.

A partner who has some skill moving the puck.
Limited mins early.
An absolute focus from the forwards to provide support in the defensive zone.

But after the contract he just got, and how I imagined the negotiations went regarding expectations from both camps, ima guess theres not alot of optiona for mact next contract.
He either has a great season and gets paid OR anything less performance wise than that, and he prices himself out of what mact can reasonably pay without looking like an idiot

Regardless of strength of opposition or the 'luck' stat, if that line is getting scored on more than its scoring, its a bad thing.
Line matching isnt a foolproof solution at all times. Especially for road games. Which he made a point of mentioning.

People certainly like to throw plus/minus around without bothering to put it in perspective, but iin this instance, I think it can still be used reasonably effectively.
