I would deal Stepan and Miller for him. Stepan isn't all that great and Miller is 50/50 whether he pans out. JT/Brassard/Lombardi or Moore/Lindberg or Hayes is solid down the middle. A breath of fresh air could be good for him, plus he's close with Nash.

I think it would be, JT is an upgrade and a real top C which we need, Miller is expendable with some of the other prospects pushing for a spot, especially with the Hayes signing. Plus you'd have Thornton for 3 years which is just long enough.

I remember when the Lightning took the C away from Vinny and gave it to Dave Andreychuk...seemed to work well for all involved.

I hear that...Mac T has been working his bag off as well....but I don't think he's done. I predict he either picks up a veteran C on a salary dump /waivers , or he trades Jeff Petry for a 2C.

Joe is a good guy and a professional, he'll be fine.

If I were the Rangers I'd be pushing hard for Jumbo. Hanks window is closing and they came just short of a golden opportunity this year, how many are left. Two fading stars of the last decade in Nash and St. Louis, it's now or never then rebuild May as well go all in.

It's okay to disagree, and explain your points like you have, but completely unnecessary to be a Penis about it. It's not so much stupid as it is poor timing. I agree that it would be a poor long term move, where I suppose we differ is that I think you roll into next season a better team with Joe and you think Nelson and Lee make you stronger.

We all want a defenseman added through a trade, we're just not thinking snow is going to make the move. I think he's going to see how Reinhart, Donovan, czuczman and pulock/pokka look in camp. If it was my choice I'd be after Oduya or Boychuk.

i have been wanting the flyers to get a good sturdy defensive defenseman for a few years now. i guess that's what the isles are after too.

they're all gone and the trade prices for one around the league are too high for either team to part with that kind of return.

i'm a bit of a fan of your team from afar.

i've been watching them for a few years on and off on center ice hoping they get better. teams i remember from my childhood should be good. also they've been bad long enough now. it's like enough already, hockey gods.

additionally, i love the uniforms lol.

All the FA Centers the NYR bring in have done very little... Stepan's numbers have only gone up. Also he had his best season playing with Nash a few years back. Kid is only going to get better, and we all know bringing the FA center here flops.

I take my chances with Stepan. No thanks to Joe if Stepan goes the other way.
