I would love him in jersey like I said but I wouldn't give up a package of henrique and Larsson for him by any means could they have Zajac ? Absolutely haha if give Larsson and like a second but it's mostly due to the age and how much future you would have to sacrifice for so little most teams who trade for these types of players at that point in their careers don't win the trade you are more less paying for a name then a product at this point. I think it would be cool to see him and jagr play together the opposition would have nightmares trying to get the puck off the two and hopefully a guy like cammy or Elias would reap the rewards of just being in the right place lol - blizzzard
As would I. He would be the perfect on ice example for Leon Draisaitl, what with the similar set of physical tools and all. Plus, he's what the Oilers need. A great regular season performer. We don't need him to be our Captain, we just need him to provide a great attack, and deflect so e coverage of Nuge.
Too bad he will never waive but if he did I would offer up
Jeff Petry, David Perron, Martin Gernat and a 2015 2nd. |

6.75 at the time of the signing is pretty fair. Gotta remember how old he will be in the final year. Having said that, it's a good deal for the Sharks as well. - Jeropotato
pretty sure he only has to visit the soup kitchen once or twice per mth...you know at the end when his cheque has run out. |

or maybe some defensive minded (frank)ing players.
I'm pretty sure Carlyle is all D...he has a few that don't know what their own end of the rink looks like |

That could be the case I'm still not a fan of him but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since you are right five of his six defenders he has had since coaching them have been offensive guys |

I have also always been a huge Marleau fan and like you said they wouldn't be coming in to be the leaders now would they had leadership for sure but they wouldn't be answering any hard questions with the media and can just worry about playing in a total team environment |

It absolutely is. The Oulers will always have to operate as though High end free agents are not an option and with the understanding that nobody will waive to play here.
That's life for the Oilers, gotta make do with the options we do have.
Did you actually mean Uranus, or were you thinking Anus? Not to worry, either or work. |

You're set for the finals? By that, do you mean you have a 'jumbo' tron all set to watch other teams compete for Lord Stanley's Cup? |

I still think we need to move Franson for a stay at home guy.
I do like the Polak/Robidas acquisitions but we will see how long I like it for once the season begins. |

Sure....gotta keep in mind they are all still under 23 years old tho.a guy like Thornton would speed things up considerably. |

Thornton and Marleau should tell the Sharks to go (frank) themselves!! They're among their best players yet they get all the blame for the failures and none of the praise for their successes...WTF? |

I like jvr to be honest when I look back at what Burke had and what he did with it I like a lot of what he did obviously he went over board on the college kids but they where all free if I'm not mistaken I would of loved to add Dion before that extension and I do like the kessel trade despite being very high on seguin and not the biggest of kessel fans but I do respect his skill I loved how Burke would take risks when people say Lou is taking risks it usually means he is dumpster diving instead of trading for a legit star player although he made a big deal for Schneider he has done much but lateral trades since then and made a few horrible free agent signings I'm not saying Burke is better just point out what I like about the guy as a gm and what kind of annoys me about Lou but I deal with because of what he has done over his career |

Agreed. So aside from sending management a memo, would you waive, or would you (frank) them over.
If it were me I would tell them to try and set up a deal and Let them know if I like it or not, without hinting one way or another where I want to go. After I felt Armstrong Worked hard enough Ibwould submit a list of maybe 3 teams, and announce them publicly to (frank) with DA's leverage. |

I like Burke...It's more exciting if you have a guy who will take risks to try and better the team. The college kids are chased by every team or almost every team. Kovalchuk sort of (frank)ed you guys over. |

they should be..I think we improved up front...at least on the 4th line and hoping we trade Franson for a stay at home and we could be top 4 in the East ( Bernier needs to stay healthy and play the same lol ) |

No kidding! The Sharks did pretty good last season, I was shocked when I saw the Kings take the series from them after being up... The look on Thornton's face said it all, he obviously is the bleeding heart of the Sharks... Boo for stripping him of Captain oh Captain... And rebuilding? Ummm... The Sharks don't need to rebuild they're just missing a piece or two, or a little variation of strategy or clicking at the right time, let's say playoffs... Not a Sharks' fan, but I can respect the level of competition they usually bring. If Joe was a UFA I'd welcome him to Jersey... But I love the team too much to offer what San Jose would want and to pay him so much, although he deserves it! I thought he's always been a pretty damn good Captain

(frank) I loved kovalchuk that was disgraceful what he did and I'm not to pleased with parise saying pretty much all the way up to the day e signed with suter that his number one goal was to sign with the devils and yada yada yada but I am glad we didn't give him that money as he is not a pure goal scorer and will rapidly slow down before even half that contract is up he is and was literally a glorified grinder and a decent leader who never took a shift off but way to much money |

Where was Pavelski and Couture the final four games? They had three goals between them the whole series, they weren't good enough!!! |

Thornton isn't waiving for (frank) all, and even if he did San Jose isn't giving him away for peanuts. If I had to pick 5 teams they would all be in the East and have a shot at least at being a playoff team.
New York Rangers- Derek Brassard +,+
New York Islaners- Anders Lee and Brock Nelson
Habs- Galchenyuk ,+
Flyers- Schenn Brothers, +
Leafs- Khadri +Gardiner - Jeropotato
I wouldn't trade you B Schenn alone for him. His value has never been lower, especially with this situation. Should have traded him earlier in the summer for Phenuef or whatever you could get. I agree with EK (I have never written that before in 10 years of posting on this site). This is a bad move by SJ management. At this point I would trade Marleau since I think his value is still fair and I would do it ASAP. |
