Sounds good . At end of the year if oilers finish ahead ,you owe me a standard 6 pack under 20.00 and if Canucks finish ahead I owe you same offer. Internet handshake

By the end of the year I hope the younger guys prove they belong and changes are made. It'll make the following year that much more interesting.
Hopefully Benning can get another first round pick for this year, I like the trend of picking twice in the first round. - LeftCoaster
If Canucks are in the same spot next year at TDL I could see them trading Miller

Outside of Hall the Oilers don't really have anything or anyone special that the Canucks don't have, so I disagree with Vantel's comments that the Oilers are better in the top six...that's all I was saying. - LeftCoaster
I think the Oil do actually have some great assets. You've got Hall who I would pencil in for 100 points (this or next season). RNH will have a much better year (apparently he's fairly healthy and ready to go) and I predict at least 60-65 points (and in the future I will go out on a limb and say he's 70-80+ point guy - I would predict higher totals but I just can't see him lasting full seasons with the current frame he has)
Yak - if he gets his attitude in check (and management seems to be giving him another shot) is also one of those guys that could reach 30 goals and 60 points in the very near future.
Perron is slick and also a bit of a sniper. I predict the same as Yak - around a 50-60 point season.
The problem, as has been for a while now, is defense - apparently they just signed Schultz to a bridge type deal. Given all those I mentioned, you would think their power play should be top notch this year.
Edit: neglected to mention Eberle (60-70), and Purcell (20+goals) and of course Draisaitl - could (and probably should) surprise with some good rookie totals unless they send him back |

Would you take Eberle and Hall over Vrbata and Daniel??????? - VANTEL
Let me think, um, YES!!
I don't care too much whether Horvat, Gaunce, Shinkaruk or Jensen make the club or not, just that they have the opportunity to do it, which seems to be JB's strategy. Let the best player play. If they are stuck on the 4th line with limited minutes keep them in Utica and 20+ minutes per night.

Shinkaruk Gaunce Jensen - would be a nice line in the AHL to start the year! |

I think those two centered by C.O'Reilly on the Comets 1st line would be fun to watch. |

I didn't realize he was from Edmonton, so that would seem to give the Oilers a much better chance (although some players would prefer not to play in their home-towns, as there is a certain amount of extra pressure to succeed.
I would certainly love to have Boychuk on the Canucks. Quite a complete package and all around skill-set. If the Canucks could pull it off, I would say that would be their best signing of the summer (not counting ELC's of their top prospects) |

What was his relationship with Ferrance? Also, it depends on how each team does next season. As far as I can tell the only things that make for a destination team is their chance to win the cup and how much they are willing to pay you. Edmonton will have the cap space to pay, but another season like the last few and they will struggle to attract the top free agents. |

No, you need to sign in at the office and Carol will send you a letter stating that you are allowed only 15 posts max in your first week and give you a 13 page pamphlet on the code of conduct. |
