I really didn't. It was more than 2 sentences from him/her. I have 3 concussions already. I can't afford anymore brain damage. |

didn't know you get to decide when cups are relevant. please let me know who gave you that privilege? common sense dictates that you look at a franchise and see how many cups they've won as a whole, but i guess when your franchise has only won 6 it's understandable why you think that way. OWNED AGAIN hahahaha - sensnucksnocups
not when the majority came with a 6 team league, getting excited over that and beaking over that is beyond pathetic. |

I wouldn't call it scoring huge as the thought was he'd be getting long-term at big money when he first signed in Edmonton |

And he thought he'd be on a winning team (by now)...
sorry Lahey had to stoke that to get away from the Leafs, Habs crap... you should post the Oilers banner... |

Its not the Majority, its every cup they have won was in a 6 team league.
1967-68 season was the nhl expansion season.
Its also the last time they appeared in the finals as well |

Pretty astonishing when you really think about it. almost 50 years just since their last finals appearance?! Yet they're still the money Juggernaut of the NHL.
That's some serious loyalty when if boils right down to it. |

No doubt they have great fans. Even more astonishing is the small list of teams that have not made the finals since 1967. Of course, San Jose, Winnipeg, Phoenix , Wild, Columbus , Nashville haven't nearly as many kicks at the can tho. |

And its not getting any easier, you do have to tip your cap to the die hards who have cheered on that franchise through thick and thin. But throwing the cup wins into other fan bases faces isn't really the best measuring stick of your organizations superiority over the half of century of cup and playoff failures. |

Mac T is reaching a bit there I think, but even a mental midget can find a plethora of actual reasons why the Oilers have not been successful over the past decade. |
