What to do with Petry?

- trade him now for a Centre or replacement Dman?

- keep him all year and risk losing him for nothing or hope he resigns?

- keep him until the trade deadline, flip him for a prospect + pick and go hard after Boychuk in the offseason?

If he is one of our best dmen, I'd be worried he would string us along and sign elsewhere in the summer. We can't risk losing him for nothing.

OH I know its not a bad amount, just was hoping that either him and Krug would sign for cheap first so Barrie doesnt have a high number to compare himself too.

Best case is likely 5 goals and 30 points. He is a puck mover but doesn't usually end up on the score sheet.

He does have more upside, I dont mind Gardiner contract but I think its a bit too high for what he has done, and he has had a bigger sample size of his play.

he was already on pace for like 37 this year and his PP numbers significantly dropped.

I'd say best case scenario he gets 15G 25A 40P and his CF% rel is over -1.5%

Petry. Schultz will still be a RFA. Petry will be UFA. If he doesn't have an extension done by TDD they have to trade him. Cant let him walk for nothing.
