After many pages of Seinfeld, I have to say watch its always sunny in Philadelphia. The funniest show since Seinfeld. 9 seasons of hilarity.

Strudwick would've been good for Louie's position.

The one thing I liked about Louie is he'd point out the rare good things he'd see from the oiler players and he'd be right as well. I couldn't tell which players he liked or hated more than other. Sometimes it's nice to listen to instead of hearing what they are doing wrong and that the oilers suck because we all know that.

Also Boston's commentator is the biggest homer in the league. Jack Edwards I believe his name is.

I agree, although he doesn't have any experience and I think the next step is to get in on some Oil King games. He's a very knowledgeable guy on the radio, but things change when you have to come up with thoughts quickly.

Joe Haggerty of CSNNE: The Bruins could benefit from moving a defenseman or two. Edmonton media reports that the Oilers could use a defenseman like hometown boy Johnny Boychuk. The Bruins will have trouble re-signing Boychuk to a deal at over $5 million a season. David Krejci, Carl Soderberg and Dougie Hamilton will also be looking for new deals after this season (if they don’t work a deal in-season). If the Bruins are looking to get a talented right winger in a deal, they may have to include Boychuk over defenseman like Matt Bartkowski, Adam McQuaid or David Warsofsky. Haggerty thinks a Nail Yakupov-for-Johnny Boychuk trade could help solve issues for both teams.

Might be the best thing for him. Do some commentating with Corey Graham who could be in the NHL one day too.

Would suck to lose his radio show though. I like listening to him when I drove home from work at 10

The other issue that Struds had in the past and could still be there is the whole adopting kids and then finding out his wife is pregnant. They have 3 kids that are the same age and are 3 or 4.

I know Struds probably wouldn't mind the road trips, but would his wife?

No issues here. He is still an RFA after and has a chance to prove himself. If he puts up 50 points and isn't a complete mess in our end, I don't have a problem giving him a long term deal.

What to do with Petry?

- trade him now for a Centre or replacement Dman?

- keep him all year and risk losing him for nothing or hope he resigns?

- keep him until the trade deadline, flip him for a prospect + pick and go hard after Boychuk in the offseason?

Depends what happens. If he is still one of our best dmen he'll have some leverage and could get a longer term deal. I think they'll wait until mid season to decide.

Bolded....god no.

About right for a bridge. Would rather 2 years but gives both sides more time to evaluate.

Would help us both in areas we could definitely upgrade in. Sheahan fits your need for a solid 2nd line center, Petry would be a great 2nd pairing dman to work well with DeKeyser.

If he is one of our best dmen, I'd be worried he would string us along and sign elsewhere in the summer. We can't risk losing him for nothing.
