I think I heard Russo say his agent has one client. This may be more a problem with the agent than Kuemper.

I found an article that says it's Jeff Helperl of Thunder Creek Management.

If you are stuck in Uverse hell like me , please take 1 minute to fill this out and request the NHL Network.

They have the NHL Network already in their drop down menu for this survey so hopefully they are close to adding it back on .

Yep, and he 's clearly trying to force Fletchers hand by using the KHL offers as leverage. Claims he's only asking for a one year one-way deal. THat to me sounds completely assnine. Why would you risk tarnishing your relationship with not only the Wild organization but others as well by making unwarranted demands based on one decent handful of games played so far in a career? And for a one year deal which will amount to peanuts compared to what his long term deal will more than likely bring?!

I say eff Helperl and Kuemper. Let him go and play in Russia, because apparently all that seems to matter to him at this point is money. Which he would be getting a lot of in the future if he would wait his turn... hope he tears an ACL in his first KHL game this season.

So if Keumper (frank)s off to Russia , are y'all confident that the vets can remain healthy?

Not sure it's cut and dry, but I have confidence in both if they start the season healthy. I think Kuemper and his agent are making dangerous decisions attempting to play hard ball with the Wild.

If he played his cards right and finished developing, he'd most likely get a pretty lucrative contract in 2 seasons time. Don't understand the urgency of player that has really proven very little in his so far short career.

Hell no, but if Kuemper does end up re-signing I'm sure Backy and Hards will miraculously remain healthy all season long. Funny how that works

Compare the statements coming from Nino's rep vs. that of Kuemper's. Tells you everything you need to know.

Still, if Keumper feels he's ready to be a full time NHL'er and the Wild want to offer a 2-way deal he has a gripe. Not his fault the Wild have 2 goalies under 1 way deals already.

Not that I have a clue what Keumpers problem is, just assuming.

Kuemper looked like he didn't belong on an ECHL team before last season and even after his initial call-up. Sorry, but I am taking the side of the organization on this one. No way does he deserve Backstrom-type money for the little he has shown. He and his agent are negotiating as if they are in the NFL.
I understand getting the best deal possible for your client, but at the end of the day it still comes down to making it work for both parties. Paying a kid $3+ mil at this stage in his career is not very fair, imo.

Is it the cash or the 1 way deal he wants?

Seems like both. But again, I don't understand the urgency of a one year one way deal when most likely he will be at minimum the immediate back up next season and possibly even starter depending on Hardings health.

So why fight tooth and nail for a one year deal??? Makes no sense, especially if he does happen to stay up with the big club for the better part of the season, which is very likely IMO.

You know how it is though. He feels he can make X amount of dollars somewhere and that's his price. Might not want to risk injury a year away from needing another contract.

Yeah, I get that, but if he truly believes he's the real deal and the up and comer, why not play it cool and cash in on that next contract. 2 years doesn't seem that long of a time to wait, granted he is 24 years old, maybe he's tired of waiting already?...
