Am I the only person that liked red outlining on the late 80s jerseys? Kinda wish they's add that or go to the lighter blue look from the early Sutter-era.
- eggsegan

I liked both of those. These ones are not bad.

But honestly jerseys and video games do not appeal to me.

I agree 100% that nhl teams should be wearing the home white jerseys on a regular basis. Don't know why they changed but watching the home teams now never seems the same. As a fan 100% home white is my vote.

Paul needs to be in a different cart.

Probably better to be in a group behind EJ as well.

I personally like the new jerseys, though they didn't change much. I feel they're the right amount of new and old school. Fresh look, fresh faces, fresh ideas; the Blues may finally get over that hurdle and be just as dominant in the playoffs as they are in the regular season.

As for Reaves' NHL '15 appearance, if enough people complain, it could easily be fixed in a patch.

I'm excited for quite a few future Blues' players coming down the line. After watching videos, reading up on articles, and getting the chance to talk to a few hockey aficionados over the summer, Barbashev and Fabbri have gone to the top of my list. I think the Blues came out with two of the big steals of this draft. From what I've heard, Fabbri has all the markings of a future all-star and Barbashev could be ready as early as next season, if not now if the need arises.

They will change it back. I would bet my mortgage. It's a smart marketing ploy to drive jersey sales to change it every so many years and I bet they have marketing and stats people telling them when it is.

Makes more sense to me to see the dark jersey's as the away team so the home season ticket holders get to see a lot of different style and color jerseys. just my 2 cents.

The whites always are my favorites. If I ever got a new jersey, no contest it would be a white one.

I don't like the fact that they placed the note higher on the replica. Looks much better on the authentic.

I wish the NHL would return to White at home, dark on the road. I hate constantly copying the NFL. Football was the only sport with dark at home, it should be that way now.

As a fan, when I go to a home game in Pittsburgh, its always Black vs White. In the old days when teams wore white at home, it was white vs black/red/blue/green/orange/maroon We always got to see the colors of all the other teams. That is the way it should be! Lets go back to that!

I guess I'm in the minority, but I've always thought the white jerseys belonged on the road. That way the jerseys that most represent a team's colors are presented at home.

I've always liked the white jersey better, so that might play into my wanting it switched back.

But I also would like seeing more of a variety when going to home games.

White home jersey, with all kinds off colors coming in from the visitors.

It's not a big deal either way. I will always buy the white Blues jersey myself.

I'm honestly not expecting it until camp. I think he's spent the entire offseason up north.

Ok, but that shouldn't affect anything. He has an agent that is meeting with the Blues. Most players are not in town when they are negotiating contracts.

As far as the EA NHL games go, I would like to see a few things:

Better player models. Come on EA, take some time, do it once and then you can transport it all over to the next game with the addition of rookies.

Player beards in the late playoff rounds.

Better crowd response specific to the rink ie) we should hear "Go Jets Go" in Winnipeg, "ole ole ole" in Montreal, Philly should be a zoo, the Nashville fans should do their goal chant etc.

Finally, every rookie should have a face in their player card. For an extra twist, roll back the clock and insert random all starts. How cool would it be to see a 18 years old Gretzky come up in the draft.

I understand that, but I thought I remembered an article pointing to Schwartz wanting to let the Blues figure out everything else before they worried about his contract. I assume talks are in process, but I don't expect to hear anything until closer to camp.

Fabbri signed his ELC today.

Saw the Blues app notification and was hoping it was Schwartz before opening the notification.

I'd say it is looking more likely that Schwartz and the excess nhl capable forwards are going to force a trade. ott signing may really come back to bite the blues because of the overpayment and corresponding lack of cap flexibility

I would argue that 21 of the roster spots are set - Allen, Elliott, Pie, Jaybo, Shatty, Jackman, Gunnarson, Leopold, Cole (took the highest d possible $ wise), Stastny, steen, backs, oshie, Berglund, lehtera, ott, paajarvi, reaves, lapierre, tarasenko,a nd schwartz. All but Schwartz and the 700k carry over take up 64,191,667 in cap, leaving 4,808,333 for the remaining spots.

Jaskin and Rattie have the highest cap hits at 772,500 each out of Jaskin, Rattie, Porter, Lindstrom and Mueller (the likely candidates for the remaining 2 spots assuming no trades). Assume the two highest $ get he spots and that leaves 3,263,333 for Schwartz on a bridge style deal.

Stewart got a 3mm one year deal, Berglund a 3.25mm deal and oshie a 2.35mm deal. Problem is Berglund just got a 3.7mm deal and Schwartz easily can claim he should make more than Bergie. My guess is the blues are around that 2.25mm number and Schwartz's agent is around the 2.75mm number for even a 1 or 2 year deal.

Would Schwartz accept a 1 year deal at 2.25mm? Risky for him but potential big reward. That would be a big risk for the Blues if he continues to get better or puts up big numbers with Stastny or Lehtera.

The ott contract really hamstrings the team. Replace the ott spot with Porter and it frees up almost 2mm of cap room which would be plenty of room to add Schwartz's raise and a deadline deal of additional salary if needed. Such a bad deal for the Blues on so many levels.

3.25 on a one year deal? Way too much.

Especially considering his situation: no arbitration rights, not eligible for an offer sheet, etc.

There is no comparison to Berglund's deal. None.
