More people that can afford season tickets live in the burbs outside the "perimeter" 285. Commuting home, grabbing the kids, and going back into town is not really an option in ATL. Braves cant even sell out Playoff games due to the location, and its not in a nice area either. The Thrash suffered this. They also didn't develop youth hockey in the area either. There aren't that many rinks for nearly 6mil in the ATL metro. There are plenty of hockey fans, most in the ATL metro are from the NE or Mid West. You cant argue there wasn't a market for a team there.

I think the Panthers have some terrible lease agreement with the rink and city and are highly unlikely to move anytime soon.

But yeah there is too much crap in the NHL to justify new teams.

The new Panthers owner wants the county to pay off the 80 million in debt that the team owns on their side of the agreement. It's a power play between politicians and the new owner. we have a beautiful arena and really good fans that just want a good product. There have been several mistakes made over two decades of Panther hockey, but there are loads of fans here, and kids that play ice hockey in lots of leagues at the IcePlex about 7 miles away from the arena. Bottom line, south Florida just wants to see what ANYONE can offer the hockey fan here. It's almost as if we were never been given a chance in 20 yrs to see anything worth seeing. A good measure would be to have the team do well for a couple seasons in a row, then gauge what the deal is. we've never had that.

Playing the best golf of my life! Playing lots of twilight 9 holes lately... tough to get out for a full 18 nowadays. Shot 39 last week and followed with a 40 and 41. I shoulda stopped at 39!

Prostitution is actually not legal in Las Vegas. It's legal in certain counties in Nevada but not Clark County, where Las Vegas is.

I live out here and as much as i would love to see live hockey again I just don't know how it would really make it?......the new arena going up now is pretty impressive though.

Toronto is at least hockey country. Vegas? That's lame. No one will go.
