Just curious, but does your buddy care for a major sports team coming to Vegas or does he not care? Would be interesting to know what the locals think

Yeah, my friend Bill would definitely go to the games. He's a SoCal native who really misses pro sports. He's a Lakers/Angels and unfortunately a Kings fan. He never misses the Kings game there. He moved there for economic reasons and there are a lot of others similar to him. He seemed excited about the prospect of it happening however he did say the team would have to be competitive pretty quickly to keep locals interested. How many expansion teams are?

And therein lies the problem with expansion teams. Most are not competitive for at least the first 2-3 years they exist because of the lack of foundation and quality players available to them. It's a bit of a catch 22. You want to give the city a competitive team from the start but the only way to get a team there in expansion inherently puts you behind the 8-ball

You have no idea how happy it would make me to see Anaheim demoted to the relegation league. Sign me up for that plan.
