Does Iggysbf say anything that outlandish? Guys like him get labeled trolls for making comments like "Phaneuf is a decent D-Man but his contract is a bit stiff and will difficult to move", or, "Bernier has yet to prove he can put up great numbers for 60+ games in a season" or "Khadri is talented, but needs to work on his 2-way game". None of those this are outlandish or false, they are however, not what Leafs fans want to hear".

Now, saying things like "Kessel sucks because he is fat", or "Rielly and Gardiner will never be dominant D-Men" or "James Reimer should be in the AHL" are all stupid and ignorant comments similar to what we here as Oilers fans. For example "RNH is too small and won't be able to stay healthy", "Justin Schultz will never be able to improve defensively" or "The Oilers will never turn the corner until Kevin Lowe is out of the organization". All idiotic comments we hear all the time.

Iggy doesn't post that kind of poop, you guys just don't like it when he says that "Holland can be a dominant forward....in the AHL". Not that I blame you, why would you like it?

And how well did that team do? One man's decision to cut an 18 yr old player doesn't cement his future...especially when his picks didnt get the job done. Good effort tho.

That was one of the more annoying exchanges of the summer.

If you ran a poll, you'd probably find some Leaf fans agree that most stuff published by Pronmann is of little/no value and that the prospect ranks were very subjective (and suspect).

It's easy to get a rise out of many of the HB Leafs fans. Too easy to be considered sporting.

Eberle has the most games played as an Oiler since MacT took over, I guess he just replaced the rest of the team with top 2 picks? No trades or signings, just picks.

Hard to say if I agree with that. Both teams have holes....

Hall Nuge Ebs VS JVR Bozak and Kessel Is pretty close.....edge to leafs...by a short and curly.

Forward depth on the Wings over-all goes to the Oilers
Forward Depth at Center goes to Leafs
Top Pair Defense goes to Leafs
Bottom 2 pairs Defense goes to Oilers
Goaltending goes to the Leafs.

I would say that at the crucial positions that the Leafs are the better team.

I can't find the list outside of having to be an insider, someone linked it before. But basically they had Nylander listed as the 3rd best player from this draft and some of the Leafs fans were getting all excited, saying that Iggy is a troll because Pronmans list are usually really bad and this one was no different. So because he thoguht the list was garbage (and it was) Iggy was just jealous because the Leafs got the 3rd best player in the draft with a later pick.

They’ve gotten zero results, short of a ridiculous number of top picks. If they can’t pull a team out of the basement with all of those great things he yaps about, plus 3 first overalls, a third overall, and a seventh overall, it begs the question, how many top picks does it take to get to a playoff spot. I’m assuming just to jump a couple of spots it takes them five, therefore it must be 7 or 8 to make it to the playoffs for them? 10 to 12 for a contender?

It might....hard to say. That was the strategy in place by Stevie T, but I see Mac T actually to upgrade at every position he can. I'm sure people will say he is half-assing because he has't traded one the kids for that top pair D-Man that is somehow on the market tho.
