I hope Reinhart makes this team. This guy going to be our franchise dman.
And it would be great if Brennan is Snow's magical find this year.
That's one think I think we have missed since Streit was trade. we haven't had a great Pointman on PP. |

I'm not. I think he'll be steady; not flashy. My opinion's based mostly off of a lot of stuff I've read about how he's been used this year, so take that for whatever it's worth, but it seems like he logged a ton of minutes each game against the best forward prospects that people drool over. In the Memorial Cup tournament especially, any time a team's top player was on the ice, Reinhart was sent out. So you can imagine how much he played, first of all, but also you can see why the offense maybe wasn't there as much too...his job was to shut down the other team's best players, and by all accounts he was very successful. It's encouraging when you read things like this from the Edmonton Sun:
He’s the shutdown defenceman of all shutdown defencemen in junior hockey this playoff year. He’s shut down the top offensive player on every team Edmonton has played, one after the other, starting with Leon Draisaitl of Prince Albert, Jayce Hawryluk of Brandon, Trevor Cox of Medicine Hat and Oliver Bjorkstand of Portland.
Or the Toronto Star saying he played "a massive game on the Edmonton blue line" in the Memorial Cup final against a favored Guelph team.
Really, he was the backbone of the D that allowed the fewest goals in the WHL. If he's anything even in the same universe in the NHL, I won't care if he never scores a goal.

i think he can be a shutdown d man as well.. however he needs to improve his skating and he needs to have some semblenace of an offensive game. i always said i'd take Adam Foote or even young Brendan Witt...if that is what he evolved into..i'm just a little skeptical right now..i hope im wrong |

I'm assuming that she is single considering she had to up and leave Detroit to get her new job here on long island. She's only 29, and I'm 28. I think you fellow fans should be my wingmen on this and help me out

I don't care if he doesn't register a point for the first 2 seasons of his nhl career. If the guy is shutting down the opposition, that's what I'll be happy with. We have enough scoring with forwards, and have had our insane share of offensive dmen. Our weakness is keeping the puck out of our own net.

Asked the dumbest questions in the history of interviewing. Completely minor league. I`m sure she'll be an upgrade.....it won`t be difficult.

Yeah...if she`s even available, you're probably going to have some competition from a handful of guys who make a lot more money than you do, and see her every day....oh, and they're also ripped athletes. There's no more Phil Esposito with a beer gut hanging out in the locker room. |

I agree.....anyone who can actually play defense who is bigger than Hickey would help. If we could manage two of those, we`d be set. |

Im excited to see him but im going to keep my expectations low. These kids need some time especially defensemen. Hopefully he will put some meat on his frame this off season. |

He's also reportedly added a fair amount of muscle this offseason.
I have no concern about Reinhart, he'll be a defensive cornerstone on this team for years to come. Naturally he'll have his ups and downs this season, but I'm willing to bet he'll catch on pretty quick.
The other guy I'm banking on having a significant contribution will be Czuczman. |

I'm not worried about Reinhart at all. I think he will be very solid. I also expect good things from Czuczman. Both guys will have their struggles, but I expect both to be able to move on get better. |
