Why the hell was the roof leaking ? Like this was supposed to be an amazing building and it sounds like it's already falling apart like did they cut a bunch of corners or what ?

Hurricane Sandy I believe, they just didn't have the money to fix it.

And that's not to say what are owners are doing isn't good because it's great from what I read about building up the city and businesses but I would like to see a lot more poured into the hockey side more scouts stuff like that and I'm not a business man nor do I claim to be one so it might be more complicated then I realize when they project to lose money on this franchise for the next couple years but you guys will get what I am saying

Don't let that scare you, it is actually awesome.

They are doing a lot of investment on the team itself that won't be returned on right away. If you read the article that TG wrote, they have more than doubled their staff. That is double the payroll, tax obligation and insurance costs on just labor. That won't make you extra money right away, but will help provide a better customer experience, which in turn will attract more people to the product. This is just one example of what they are doing.

Another example is the hiring of Sonny Mehta, not an investment you will return on right away, but will help add value to the club moving forward, but again you still have to lay the funds out prior to getting a return. They are also paying interest on old debt that came along with the acquisition that will reduce their profitability in the short term as they are being repaid.

It is all a money game, and the new owners are very good at it so I am happy they are here and confident they will really put the Devils on the map. Doing something right takes longer than overnight. Right now they are laying the ground work and investing huge money.

It is actually exciting that someone sees enough potential in the club to do this. I am excited to be a Devils fan. Our fan base is about to explode so try and treat the newbies well as they are really the most important part of the clubs development.
