Why is Toronto kicking Thornton's tires? Is this a new charitable thing?

Morning.

Maybe we can try Kaberle at forward. It worked for Red Kelly!

Can't wait to see what Winnik brings to our bottom six. I'm being very serious. I really like him as a player.
- mykokes

I was thinking this exact thing...He plays a good game as a bottom 6 forward

If we are going to let Thomas try out, why not the whole Muskoka 5?

Sundin? Tucker? McCabe? Domi (sponsered by rofo)?

Hell, why don't we invite Jason Allison for another tryout...

Arghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

I actually really think that line can add in some nice secondary scoring, which the Leafs have been missing it seems for years.

yeah the bottom 6 is vastly improved, i think this is over shadowed with many years of crap hockey in Toronto, hell, they even added some stability on the back end. As long as Robidas can stay healthy - that alone should make them better on top of rielly and gardiner being 1 year older. Polak, yeah, he should be a glorified third pairing D man for the leafs, nothing more, just a move the body in front and play a tough game back there kinda guy.

I hope the Rupert brothers play for the Marlies this year. Seeing them play on a line with someone like Carrick would be awesome. Scrappy little buggers

Yeah I really like the moves that Nonis has made this summer...Not a huge splash but additions to upgrade the depth at forward and the addition of some mid to bottom pairing defensemen.

The one thing I really want to see the Leafs get soon is a #1 center. Bozak is just awful IMO (for a #1 center) and I'm still not sold on Kadri...hopefully Nylander can eventually fill that role.

Kaberle was not good after he left the leafs, he got worse as it went on. Not what the leafs need at the moment.

I would take him on a tryout. Just to see him in a Leafs sweater one more time.

I see a big season for Kadri. I consider last season to be his "sophomore slump", even though it's technically not his sophomore year. I think he bounces back and takes the #1 by season's end. Especially with the new philosophies behind the bench and within the organization. They put together an all-star analytics team for a reason. It won't take them long to see that Kadri > Bozak.

I can't stand the Kadri hate. The guy gets 44 points in 48 games then the next year he gets 50 points in 78 games.
