I don't see the point in replacing him just for the point of replacing him. He didn't take a job, he was the job. Just let him go and have team presidents for the Leafs/Raps/Reds, and then if another Leiweke comes along, hire him.

I don't think they're in panic mode, but having one guy to be that guy isn't unheard of and is quite usual for businesses.

The board isn't dumb enough to panic and hire the first guy. In a position like that you wait/get the guy you want.

I don't know, if I needed to trust my multi billion dollar empire that includes franchises in 3 different pro sports as well as real estate development, I would first turn to an oft concussed NHLer with a grade 12 education (assuming he has that).
