I'll pass. Those that I'd be ok with hanging out with from here, I've already met. So I'm good. Plus, I have plenty of friends to go with. Don't need anymore.

Understood.

It was really more for entertainment purposes for the rest of us any way. The season is still a long way away.

After all of that, from Garth's Blog:

Tickets for the game will be on sale at 9 a.m. on Sept. 13 and can be purchased at the First Niagara Center box office or online at Tickets.com. Prices for 100-level and 200-level seating will be $15 and $10 for Sabres season-ticket holders.

Out of genuine curiosity, what's everyone's definition of "generation?" Shouldn't it be at least 18 years?
- jmatchett383

Never really thought of it in definite terms, and I see where you are going with 18 years, about the amount of time it would take a person to mature and produce offspring(the next generation). But to me it is not really a measure of time the way it is used here. In most cases it is used as an idiom, a figure of speech. It is more to say something so rare that it is an anomaly and we don't expect to see it very often.

Besides, the word generation refers to a group and where you decide to measure is arbitrary. Is a 19 year old in a different generation than a 17 year old? Is a 19 year old in the same generation as a 36 year old? It depends on how you choose to measure it.

But, if you absolutely need an answer to your question I would say it is more like 12 years, 6 months, 1 week, 4 days, 6 hours, 23 minutes and 2 seconds. Because that's how old my girlfriend was when I got her pregnant. Or maybe it is 35 years, that's how old I was.

in sports and music and fashion it's usually 10-15 years. I get it that a true generation is different.

A generation is 10 years older and 10 years younger.

There are exceptions to this rule but IMO that's a generation.

Every generation is subject to crappy music and every generation thinks there music is better than everyone else's and that all other generations are subject to bad music.

Only thing I would say about this generation is that these days actual talent is tougher to find because the common sources (i.e radio, top 40 charts) are being overrun with songs by artists with name recognition vs something that actually sounds good.

For clown analysis:

Picked 12th, no PPC

1. AJ Green
2. DeMarco Murray
3. Zac Stacy
4. Andrew Luck
5. Toby Gerhart
6. Vernon Davis
7. Anquan Boldin
8. Trent Richardson
9. Fred Jackson
10. Knowshon Moreno
11. Tavon Austin
12. Bills D
13. Cecil Shorts
14. Joe Flacco
15. Jared Cook

I need to drop someone to pick up a kicker, but bought myself a couple weeks to see what shakes out in the preseason.

NFL.com "Draft Recap" has given me an A+, but I wonder if they give that to everyone to make them feel good.

maybe you could drop No. 7 Vernon Davis in favor of No. 6 Vernon Davis to open up that spot?

Thanks. A bit upset to have the draft order get wiped and move from picking 2nd to picking 12th, but oh well.

Funny enough, the NFL.com draft recap that gave me an A+ grade knocked my pick of Boldin, calling it a reach since his ADP was 125 and I got him at 84

There were some odd picks...

Manning went 1st, a TE was taken in the 1st round...

I was sitting there in round 7, watching TY Hilton sit there...then right before me he was taken... Then in round 10 I was looking to scoop up Sammy Watkins but apparently missed seeing him picked in round 7.
