You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. You don't learn intimate knowledge of A & P, pharmacology, and disease processes unless you take the initiative to do so. On the job training does (frank) all for the BSc I am working towards, by taking extra classes and applying them to said degree. Sure I can take a nail care course to allow me to trim a diabetics toenails. You are aware that B.C. and Alberta do have different policies when it comes to healthcare right? An LPN in B.C. that took the one year program, cannot come to Alberta and work as an LPN. There are different educational programs, in different provinces.

My wife has though.

She did her courses in VCC in Vancouver but she really got most of her knowledge while working.

But why talk to you. You know everything.

i also wasn't dissing you. i was just saying that after the courses you really get into the career while working.

but gfy meathead.

You missed the point. There is an actual benefit to being physically active, playing sports. There is no benefit to playing video games and dressing up like a wookie....unless one likes getting there leg humped by a pack of dogs. If you wanna compare it to dollars, then you have to include the sports worldwide, and how money is made form merchandising, licensing, equipment sales, etc, etc, etc.
- ruttager17

Playing video games improves hand-eye coordination and problem solving skills. You should know this shouldn't you?

Yeah it's crazy. Star Trek might have similarly passionate fans, but SW fanatics are insane.Unbelievable how many people just freak the (frank) out about it tho. Don't get me wrong, I love the movies, but the dedication some fanboys show is nuts. But seriously, if you dig Star Wars, is dressing up like Boba Fett on Halloween or for Comicon any more retarded than painting your face and wearing Oilers gear to a playoff game?
- Jeropotato

Nope whatever makes you happy, some guys like to collect toys and dress up as a Jedi Knights, and some other guys like to collect used equipment with autographs of grown men on them and wear crazy fanatic gear to public events.

You can be both, or you can be either. Who the hell cares if a guy likes Comics and not sports.

Edit: just googled the Star Wars franchise Net worth...over 30 Billion. Thats worth more than all NHL franchises combined, haha Nerds are taking us over

I'm just here to say that KISS sucks balls, and I'd rather have RC take a dump on my chest than to listen to them. Now I shall retire to my chambers for the night. Sweet dreams.

I'm sure that could be arranged.

Ok meathead.

Home schooling is shown to be every bit as effectual in learning the academics as a regular school. Shows how much you don't know. the one area where homeschooling suffers compared to regular school, the social aspect. Home schooled kids are generally not as outgoing and more socially awkward.

Sports, bodybuilding is a physical thing, yes. Real? Meh. So many people get along fine in life with never ever getting involved in them. They also do nothing with actually advancing the human race forward. They are just like a movie, entertainment.

But it certainly shows your insecurity when I disrespect something you enjoy. Got your teeth out now don't we. remember that when you think of taking a shot at something someone else likes, just because you don't.

You do understand that these shows and movies create enjoyment adn in many cases create imaginative thoughts. Much of the technological advances we have today come from these guys that had little sports influence but great sci-fi influence.

There are direct links to cell phones and the communicators from ST. They are testing and theorizing about teleportation in Australia...right now only on very simple matter but it is a start. This all comes from ST also. Just 2 examples of movies and the things you call irrelevant pushing mankind forward. Has being a weightlifting meathead done that? Not so much...though they did help push the HGH/Steroids phenomenon.

There is also the tiny thing that all that physical, mental and psychological wellbeing from sports is really about exercise. Not sport. You don't need sport to have exercise. Sports are irrelevant.

- OilHorse

You are contradicting yourself now. They used communication devices in science fiction movies long before Star Trek did it so don't pretend we wouldn't be where we are today, if it weren't for a retarded TV show. There were those 2 little wars that took place, that have far more relevance for the driving of technology than fantasy does. Ok I get it, you were bullied by some guy that lifted weights, get over it, that doesn't make everyone who goes to the gym a meatheaded juice monkey like you are portraying them to be. Now go watch SW or ST and jerk off to a lightsabre battle.

Actually proven to be false. Hand eye co-ordination and cognitive brain abilities to decipher puzzles.

if you include all sport franchises in total dollars you include all movies for the same. Sports ain't got shat on the movies world wide.

SW is one movie franchise, take teh largest sport franchise (most likely an english fc team)

About as many that want to be Jesus, walk on water and turn water into wine. Doesn't mean it will ever happen.

Nothing, I like sports, comics and science fiction/fantasy books and films, cock-rock and porno. All pretty much equally.

I used to like wrestling alot too, but it got pretty dumb around 2001.

They Paid 4 Billion bucks for Potential Earnings. Considering Lucas was worth 3.3 Billion (All directly or indirectly earned as a result of SW franchise)....that's a crazy amount of cash for something that has only been around for 37 years.

That is awesome for your wife if that is the way she has learned. Now go talk to 40 nurses who have been on the job for 3 + years and give them all the same tests that are in depth and have to do with the things I have stated and I can guarantee you that you will find a lot of them that don't know the first thing about anything other than providing basic care. Not saying there is anything wrong with that at all, they are some of the best nurses in the world, just saying that being on the job is no guarantee of learning in depth, unless one takes the initiative to do so.

Same here, any given day I could be playing Golf or Tennis, watching Sports or a movie, playing video games, who the hell cares what your passions are. Have to have a lot of different interest to have a healthy balanced life.

I would go to Comic-Con or NHL game, and probably would go with Comic-Con if I had to pick one or the other since I can go watch Hockey more often than checking out a different passionate fan base that I am not accustomed to.

Meathead, that there were other comm devices doesn't mean I am contradicting. Some of the early cellular phone developers have cited themselves as fans of ST and the dreams of making stuff like communicators were large to them.

Bullied...sounds like stuff that meathead roid monkeys would do...just not to me. Maybe your roid rage flashes of you bullying some 14 years olds is coming back to you. Poor rutty, roid-a-holic.

Usually when someone suggests "Go Fck yourself Meathead", that's a clear indicator that they are done with the conversation. But go ahead and continue talking to yourself if you feel it validates you.
