If he magically accepts the trade. He would push u to playoffs for sure. You would arguably have one of the best 1st and 2nd lines in the nhl. With best goalie you had in long time. The only thing holding u back is poor depth on 3rd and 4th lines and terrible defense. If you add a number one/two defensemen like myers, yandle, or dustin buff it could push you head of teams like Stars and Sharks.

It only matters what market value is. And we know from guys like Kesler, Spezza being traded recently. Joe is far older than either of them.

If i was their GM i would trade joe and marleau and use them to get best prospect and picks i could to make there rebuild alot faster because they have two years max to win a cup and after that they are looking at very long rebuild. Something you guys know alot about.

Yeah they do. Preds have such an array of middle level talent and high end prospects, they could take a dent in either/both of those departments. Don't know if they'd want to give up a pick this year though that might give them a generational center that they've never even come close to before.

Have you seen the west. kings, blackhawks, wild, blues, ducks, and avalanche are different league then every other team in the league except bruins. they have long way to go to get to that level.

If i was their GM i would trade joe and marleau and use them to get best prospect and picks i could to make there rebuild alot faster because they have two years max to win a cup and after that they are looking at very long rebuild. Something you guys no alot about.

Im not that high on Ellis, but I think hes a good piece to acquire. Ekholm and Forsberg are the prize guys to get from them, but if they can avoid giving up those guys, its a steal of a deal.
