I would not even include the 2015 1st. There are future 1st liners all through the 1st round this year. Think 2003 where guys like Getzlaf, Perry, Kesler, Richards, Parise, Carter, Burns all went mid-late first round....

The last thing the Wings need in their division is a team landing a Perry, Getzlaf AND Parise somehow.
They'd have to bank on getting another Lidstrom, Datsyuk, and Zetterberg in the later rounds.

Agreed. Would prefer to not use the 1st. Honestly, I trust Mac T with our first. He wouldn't move last years in a preconceived "weak draft" unless it was for a guy in his mid 20s. No offers came and we were happy to select Leon.

I'm really hoping Dellow applies a lot of his work on amatuers. Maybe we can stop picking busts that are being carried by their team and get guys that are pushing the play. The draft has been so hit and miss for all teams. I really think advanced stats could help weed out the better players from the hype.

For one, no way joe waives no trade clause to go to the worst franchise in the nhl. Two it would take more than perron and this year first. They would have to throw in Leon Draisaitl to make it work.

If he magically accepts the trade. He would push u to playoffs for sure. You would arguably have one of the best 1st and 2nd lines in the nhl. With best goalie you had in long time. The only thing holding u back is poor depth on 3rd and 4th lines and terrible defense. If you add a number one/two defensemen like myers, yandle, or dustin buff it could push you head of teams like Stars and Sharks.
