The only way the Leafs consider trading Biggs is for another bust prospect back. So, unless you're willing to entertain Hoffman, Pageau, Stone, Dziurziynsksisiki, Jim OBrien, Buddy Robinson, Stephane De Costa, Chris Wideman, Borowiecki (did Murray like his Polish kids or something?), or Derek Grant, in return, the Leafs won't even think about it.

after hearing Jared Cowen on Tsn1200...not sure about what to do with him. He either has quiet confidence who is simply a zombie. He better have a big season or lets trade this bust (nothing personal) |

Don't know what to tell you. If he was trying to pick a fight, he chose the wrong kid. I never really saw much in Biggs, and thought it was a waste of a pick from the start. His highest potential, if all were to pan out perfectly, is a third line grinder in my opinion, that pots at most 30 points in a season. Troy brouwer, or a winger version if Zack Smith, at absolute best. Most likely not even that. |

I don't really know anything about Biggs...it was more you managed to name that many of the Sens prospects and label them all busts...that was impressive
that's the prockiest prock move ever |

Really? MacA on the top line? I don't know the team well enough to comment if someone is much better there or not but MacA is 2nd liner at best. |

MacArthur is not an ideal first line left wing. that being said Ottawa isn't very deep a the LW position, with MacArthur, Michalek, Hoffman, Greening, Puempel, Guptill & Prince.
Down the middle with Turris, Zibanejad, Lagwand, Z Smith, Lazar, Pageau Grant we're good.
RW with Ryan, Chaisson, stone, Condra & Neil we're good.
This is one of the youngest teams in the League, thier only going to get better at NHL hockey. may have a few bumps along the road but its looking very promising in the near future.
When we are ready to contend im sure managment will go out & get a true first line winger, via trade or UFA. we have a boat load of cap space to fill out our roster. |

Yeah, I'm 99.9% sure none of those guys are going to be major contributors moving forward, except for maybe Stone. |

well, my kids waited in the rain for three hours in lovely downtown Arnprior yesterday to get autographs from Lehner and Cowen.
as much as the session was rather regimented (not the players fault), my kids said the guys were really great. Big smiles for the kids and they showed a lot of appreciation for the fact that people waited in the rain to get their autographs....

I'm still not sure if I rather keep the top line intact or put Stone with Turris and Mac and have Bobby play with Zbad.
On another note, I love how Bobby Ryan texted Clarke MacArthur 'Thanks for leaving me in the trenches taking all the grenades' after he signed his deal. - Thoralfie
Never change a winning combination. Zibby needs Stone. They will fit nicely together. |

As much as the post is meant to be a joke, it should open the eyes of Sens fans. Stone is really the only guy on this list that you can legitimately expect big things from. The other guys are anyones guess and probably won't turn into much. |

It's also a far cry from our entire prospect list, so I'm not sure what your point is.
Hoffman is also a great prospect.
Puempel, Paul, Pageau, Prince, Claesson, Wikstrand, Alex Grant, and Dzingel are all better prospects than what is listed there. |

there is an interesting article in the Sun today by Brennan ..... I know what you're thinking, but this one is actually pretty good.
it's about the merits of signing Methot and making him Captain - and it kind of makes sense :
- he's only 29 and entering the prime of his career versus the likes of Phillips/Neil
- a local boy, who really wants to stay and play for his home town team
- he's bilingual, which can only help in trying to lure a few Habs fans from Gatineau over to Ottawa, or simply address the Francophone community that does cheer for Ottawa
There has been a lot of talk about Karlsson taking the C, but until he returns to his game of two years ago and shows consistency with it, he should have an A.
Not every team has a young player with the leadership qualities in the early stages of their career that are required to lead a team. Just because Chicago and Pittsburg do, doesn't mean that everybody has to follow suit. |

Take it easy. About half the names you listed were listed...
I'm just saying everyone here goes on and on about how great our prospects are when in actuality how many are actually going to become effective/important players for us? Just because your favourite NHL team drafted/picked up a guy doesn't mean he is going to amount to anything significant. Sometimes you have to step back at take off the Sens goggles and look objectively. |
