I don't think the Blackhawks didn't sign Hayes because he just isn't good enough for them. I think they wanted to sign him and just couldn't get it done. We can debate the reasons. But you act like Chicago didn't want him anyway which is a complete fallacy.
- jimbro83

Of course Chicago would have loved having him in their prospect pipeline. I am not arguing that. But.. you can't force someone to be in a situation they don't wish to be in.

Sure your not just a butt hurt hawks fan..... Like you said, Hayes has warts. No one should sign him....loser...

Like I said - the Hawks have multiple better prospects than Hayes. Again... I'm content with them not signing a self entitled prospect who didn't actually begin to shine till he had another elite prospect playing next to him.

You're welcome to do the research on the "links" yourself.

Like I said: Assuming that even there's a hint of your "hypothesis" being correct that he didn't sign with Chicago because his brother was traded.. congrats.. the Rangers just signed a self entitled punk. Great for team chemistry.

- CaptainBlackhawk

Thanks for drafting him for us, letting him develop and handing him over for nothing in return. Tell yourself all you want that he wasn't right for the Hawks which could very well be true, but stop trying to convince yourself that the Rangers acquiring him for NOTHING is a bad move on their part. Its just not and anyone whos not a Hawks fan can agree with that

- That's fine. You believe your little hypothesis. The actual reasons why he didn't are the.. well... actual reasons.

- Writers were speculating where he MIGHT sign.

- Again.. you're delusional if you think that the Rangers couldn't use a power forward/supposed young goal scorer immediately in their top 9. Or... arguably their largest weakness.

Carry on. Enjoy the cancer.

- CaptainBlackhawk

Who said the Rangers couldn't use a power forward in their top 9?

Like I said - the Hawks have multiple better prospects than Hayes. Again... I'm content with them not signing a self entitled prospect who didn't actually begin to shine till he had another elite prospect playing next to him.

How many teams would turn down a young player with top six scoring potential?

no, but I AM baffled by how weirdly defensive they're getting.

Many teams. That's why he had a few suitors once he became a free agent.

It doesn't mean he's not a self entitled cancer that is going to have to figure it out to be a productive NHL player.

It's the Rangers "problem" so no sense in continuing to lash out seeing you are a Hawks fan and they were just too good for Hayes anyway.

You should check his numbers again, they improved every year. Also check out how he did in the 14 games Gaudreau was NOT playing with him...

Nobody said it was a bad move by the Rangers. They said it was a dumb move by Kevin Hayes. And it is.

What people are telling Rangers FANS is to dry off your panties because you didn't just sign Cam Neely 2.0. He most likely will never be as good as you want him to be.

None of them cared at all when Okposo was left off the Olympic team. They barely mentioned it.

Good analogy. Its just like "declaring war on all islander fans on hockeybuzz"

Ummm, Boston was heavily after this kid.
- MidnightMarauder

comprehension is over rated, he never said that Boston wasn't after him, he said that he didn't sign with Boston because they couldn't offer ice time.

No, there's an obvious difference.
