I don't think it was jealousy at all. The comments may not have come from the right person due to Kovalev playing like he was playing street hockey all his career. There is truth in what he said about Subban. As good as he is offensively, he is just as bad in his own end. Outside of Montreal fans I would say the majority of the hockey world is still shaking their heads at the Subban deal.

Flyers are a good reference when it comes to evaluating and signing defensemen

I was at that game! Epic crowd reaction. I hated that puke tucker and that play made my whole trip.

This comparison clearly doesnt look out of place. Don't disagree with the idea of Patches wearing the C...

I would definitely be open to a CANADIAN being the Captian of the Habs. I think Subban and Gallagher fit that bill and they are the hardest working players on the team.

Why ?

He's captain of his national team.
Hard worker.
Respected in the room and management.
Buys into the coaches game plan.

Ok.. he doesn't score 100 points a year and ain't a "clutch" player, i'll give you that.

- WaterBoy

Because he's prob gone in two years, or sooner.

Markov will never take that responsability. 2-3 years from now Gallagher would make sense. And let's agree to disagree on Plekanec.
- Habsody

It will be Markov for his last 3 years, then it will be Gallagher

Please list all players with way less talent than Subban and advise how much they cost. It's a perfect analogy.

We get it - you don't like Subban. Thanks for the post, we appreciate the attendance during the lean months.
