Dumping Marty and extending Schneider was the best thing they could have done. There are some head scratchers like resigning gionta and bernier. Cammi is overpaid and havlat could be a solid pickup if he doesn't miss his annual 70 games. He is playing with his boys so yeah I think he'll be good for the games he plays. I really want carter and gelinas resigned and I'll be happy. Too many forwards on one-way deals.

Every devils fan expected cammi. The defense was pretty much set, so no need for a big move. it's time for Deboer to play Larsson and not bench him after he makes one mistake. Zidlicky (frank)s up a minimum of 5 times a game and doesn't lose a second of ice time.

We went upstate a couple weekends. My mother-in-law has had a place for 50 years, about 75 miles outside of the city. Place is a bit old and run down, but perfect for a weekend and the kids had a blast. Kids did some fishing and we did some other stuff which they enjoyed. Also went to the Bronx Zoo which was pretty cool. Nothing fancy really.

Can't believe he's a year old already. Then again, my boy will be 8 in a couple months. Time does fly...
