i think if you don't like his style of play, you're more stupid than anything else. (not you, a generalization.)

Meh-

I can only assume that you were referring to my post that was deleted by the ever overly-eager admins on the Habs board.

Is he exciting? Yes. is it also exciting to play Russian Roulette? I can only imagine so.

He is an incredible offensive talent but I suggest his lack of defensive attentiveness keeps him from being in the upper echelon of d-men in my mind.

While Richards was right I am not whining. I wouldn't want him on Philly with that price tag. Good on you guys for having him.

Keep your opinions about the "admins" to yourself.

As for Subban's defensive play, it has improved greatly over the last couple of seasons. Is he perfect in his own zone? Of course not. But he has improved to the point of being trusted late in games.

Why was Richards right? And if he was right 4 years ago, isn't it possible for a person/player to mature in 4 years?

of course the price tag is high right now ... but it's a long contract, in 2-3 years, when most defencemen of his caliber make around 10mil, it'll look good, provided Subban continues his progression or at least doesn't regress.

I don't have a crystal ball so I don't know if the contract will be a good one a few years down the line.

I'll tell you else who has serious reservations about his worth, Bergevin. Do you think they would have had the initial arbitration hearing if he didn't?

He ended up acquiescing to the media and fan base. Time will tell if he made the right decision.
