Nystrom also says he's holding out hope Brooklyn doesn't work and new owners will bring team back to Long Island. #isles #nhl

Oh Bobby Boy. Let it go. He's starting to sound like Dee.

I said earlier Snow has a 2 year window and a lot of times new owners want to bring their own men in regardless unless the current group is off the charts. I don't think a playoff appearance or two is going to save Snow's job. He is going to need a deep run in the playoffs over the next two years just to have a shot at keeping his job. IMO he is good as gone when they take full control.
- Vukota

Who has it better than Snow? Now he has a two year window after having the last seven years . I think maybe with the ownership situation solidified he might really take a run at a defenseman if the purse strings got loosened.

Is this a joke?
- Vukota

He must have missed the last 42 years of owners we've had.

I knew the team was getting sold and I knew it'd be soon. Two more years of him being a majority owner is not good bcs this is our next two years management for better or worse. Hopefully its for better.

We may have to live with two years of Garth, but I can't see coach Flintstone lasting through November if they suck again. Wang might be a stubborn bast*rd, but, thinking positively, I'd like to believe he has some inkling that WE deserve better than that. More importantly, thinking realistically, if they aren't "new and (at least contending for a playoff spot) improved" this fall, the fact that he wrote some fairly large checks over the last few months leads me to believe he'll want to know why his money isn't buying him anything.

That's your first mistake. Thinking he gives a shat or has an inkling of what we deserve as fans. He doesn't.

Is that the same "hope" we were all "holding out" that Nassau County and Hempstead might have done something about that dump at some point over the last two decades? Yeah....that's what I thought.............. Elvis has left the building.......

I think he does- I just think his ego is bigger than the Nassau Coliseum, and he thinks that he knows best....about everything....on earth....no matter what it is. Look at what a c*nt he was about the news of the sale leaking...why was that enough to make him "furious" if he was selling the team anyway? Because someone dared to defy the emperor, that's why....he's like a 3 year old, with lots of money. It's a mental illness I like to call "CEO Syndrome"- by my decree, thou shalt all line up to polish the royal knob, or face the guillotine. On the other hand, as long as you do everything that I command, I will hire and retain you for a job you can't do, indefinitely.

I have to believe this new ownership group reaches out to the alumni.. Wang has chased them all away... A bond with the past needs to be made.

Will be interesting to see how much the Isles spend next offseason with the team playing in Brooklyn in October. Have to think the money will be flying.

I agree with that. Bobby and the rest of the alumni need to drop the "I hope they fail in Brooklyn" line though.

To an extent I agree, but if LaFontaine were to ever be hired in any capacity by the isles I'd start the clock and see if he lasted two months.

Yeah........maybe they should have tried repeatedly pressuring Nassau/Hempstead, and Wang/Milsh*te and Gluckturd/Gang of Four/Convicted Felon/Pickett through the media for the last 25 years if they wanted to see a building built in Uniondale...just saying....

I'm not sure Pepto helps that. He should see a doctor.

I checked out Forbes Top 1657 Richest People in the world. Neither of our new owners or their families were among the listed. Wealth ranged from Several Billion dollars down to $506 Million total worth.

Also checked on the top 400 richest people in the USA. Not among those either.

Searched several sites but couldnt come up with much on either. I'm sure these guys have deep pockets. Just not among the Deepest.

Anyway, I'm happy that Wang is on his way out and these guys are taking over.

Islanders fans deserve better.

They certainly do. But until Snow is gone........
