I don't think one story - first story I've seen about him this summer, I think - constitutes "tire pumping".

I, for one, am glad to know he's been here, diligently (presumably) working out under professional supervision and bonding with future teammates.

It is all good that some prospects are working out - working hard - and it is all the better for, their psych to have pictures taken for, their mug on a hockey card.

Obviously fans will be much thrilled, however, with on ice performance than a hockey card or a bobblehead night here or in Rockford. Heck, even Kyle Beach had a bobblehead!

To me the big deal is not if Chicago has elite prospects or if you want to call any of them blue chip. The Blackhawks IMHO will win with prospects like TT, Johns, Hartman even if they are not exactly thoroughbreds. They have a place and expectations are that they will contribute. There are aspects to their game that spell role in Chicago.

It is just likely to be later rather than sooner. But when they are able to step full time, they shall be ready.

With TT I fully have expected two summer worth of work out & one year of North American hockey before he shows us truly what he can do. I do believe the skill set and capability to perform well is in them; exactly how many points and how good they become is the hype.

Oh, and Clendenning is nothing but a bonus. He is behind others for a third pair spot. He has to improve his defensive work at Rockford first and foremost (as others have commented on this board). It would be interesting how Clendenning fits in the powerplay scheme should he get some time in The Show. Reportedly he played different spots or positioning on the powerplay. Imagine an improvement over D Keith shooting on Pp. I know Keith has things he doesn't get credit for on Pp but sure would like to see Clendening there some day.

Second in the Tribune, according to Google.

Too cynical: every action is not a blatant front office manipulation.

Not a bad risk/reward proposition for the Flames at all, not that I'd want him on the Blues or you would want him on the Hawks.

MrPaulish, BGKarras, how's Itasca treating you lately?
I still have a feeling some GM will make an offer for Bickell that Stan will not be able to refuse. Maybe McNeil or Shaw will play the PF role this season, the whole season.

Hey Powerenforcer Itasca was great spent alot of time at the pool with the kids, had alot of fun at the fest. My wife is doing back flips that the kids are back in school...

Bryan Bickell had a bobblehead. Time to play like you deserve respect for having a bobblehead. One good playoff, arguably no really good seasons. He can rectify that lack of respect with solid play, few or no invisible stretches. Or he can be like Kyle Beach. I should throw the Beach bobblehead in the garbage.

This time of year I just watch the NHL.com 30 in 30.,

An icehog version....

Does that count?

What I still have ruffled feathers about was how, depsite having the usual load of reserve "Black Aces" that at the 2010 Grant Park Rally they chose to push Beach up to the stage as a Blackhawk who "won the Cup."

I bet it was more a matter of not hurting feelings of a former early selection (and sure, some future hawk hype),or to light a fire, but if you are going to take the moment to congratulate the organization, maybe ALL the pressbox guys should have been waltzed up to make the rally even longer...

Regardless of what happens it nice to know that Clendening, Johns and TT aand Hartman are working hard to be biger tougher and more equipped to play in the bigs...

ahhhh, Michigan and E. Wacker, correct? What is a few blocks between friends, eh?

The 2010 rally was one for the ages, weather-wise, that is. Had to help two youngsters to the paramedics for heat exhaustion. Youngsters, meaning anyone under the age of 30.

CUBS WIN, Holy cow! Swept the O's. Time for another sammich at Lucky's.
