2009 was Tallon's last. Which produced, basically, Marcus Kruger. And Brandon Pirri.

I thought the Hayes brothers were one of Tallon's pet projects. Was it Norm Maciver?

I'm a big fan of the Boulevard Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale.

Crystal hero is hard to find, because they only do a limited run each year, but it's my favorite IPA.

I'll keep an eye out for both.

This has been my go to beer for the summer: http://www.ommegang.com/i...N/hennepin-glass_1280.png

Both?

Chinook is used more as a bittering hop, while Cascade is used more for finishing/aroma.

Cascade would work by itself, but Chinook would likely not be used by itself...at least not to my knowledge.

Getting ready to make my first batch of home brew, so I've been studying up

@NicholsOnHockey: Teuvo Teravainen went from 169 pounds to 176 at prospect camp to 180 now. “The gym has been my home this summer." #Blackhawks Via @ChrisKuc

In all likelihood TT will go from weakling to not so pathetic in physical confrontations. He may throw a check. While not big on recycling the puck and getting hit, he may not purposely always turn away like Kane did always in his early years. After a second summer of work out and a full professional season under his belt, fall 2015 is when I expect to start seeing some of the good things he can do.

He may not be the elite core player one day, or maybe he actually ascends to that level. For sure he is the closest prospect - behind Salad - who might replace the Sharp and Hossa on this team. Like it or not.

Clearly you're not drinking nearly enough.

So do I, but as I understand it, certain hops are used early in the brewing process primarily for their bitterness, while others are added later on for their flavor and aroma. Some varieties are used almost exclusively for bittering, some primarily for flavor and aroma, and some for both. Chinook is one of those varieties used primarily for their bittering prowess, without bringing much else to the party, and would likely be used with another type to balance the bitter with aroma and flavor.

Do you have a favorite that uses primarily Chinook?

All the more reason to drink a real beer. The ABV is usually higher, better bang for the buck...so to speak.

I've seen it before. I'll grab a bottle of it this weekend, provided it's in the cooler of my favorite booze store.

I would like to see a constitutional amendment to prohibit the manufacture, sale, and consumption of light "beer".

Fixed.

Not sure when, but I'll definitely let you know when it happens. Have you ever tried your hand at home brewing?

Just got me one of these butes...

Old Milwaukee, a cheap staple when I wore a younger man's clothes, those were the days I enjoyed a heavy yeast taste in my beer.
- Canardhawk

That's fine, but when you wore a younger man's clothes you didn't have 3 yrs left at $4mm. If I caught Bicks drinking a Milwaukee's Best I'd punch the soft right out of him.

Got a starter kit, and just finished reading a book about it. Hope to try my first batch soon.

Had several of those on tap at BBQ King with the "pig out" lunch today. Doesn't get any better than that.

After watching a small portion of the Bears fine preseason game against the Seahawks its pretty obvious - there's only one team in this town that's a contender to win and that would be the Blackhawks.
