What kind of center or defender are you going to get if you are trading a winger- its not like they trade those types of players everyday or we would have done it already... Bottom line is if you have holes in your line up- trading from a position with no depth still leaves the team at a loss/with holes overall... albeit- u can bandaide fix a winger easier than the other 2 positions- its just that no one is trading good centers or defenders... Only piece i see moving early on is Petry and I really dont like it... maybe jultz if they cant reach a deal...

The other key is if you make it known you are thinking of dealing Eberle, the offers will start to increase. Everyone is always looking for a scoring forward, especially mid season. The hope would be that some team that has a lot of defense also has a young player step up and hopefully make a better guy available.

I honestly wouldn't care. With Klefbom, Marincin and potentially Nurse, we'd have some flexibility to allow some guys to play while Aulie is on the suspended list.
