i can't imagine playing in russia was an enjoyable option for leighton, even if the money was decent. i'm sure he wanted to come home, and also give himself another shot at cracking an nhl lineup or using this to parlay into a trade to another team where could play, kind of like boucher did with the phantoms and then got picked up by the sharks.

Leighton will be out one night, having dinner at some Chicago establishment, and Kane will just pay for his dinner quietly and leave.

Leighton will never see it coming.

Would you at least chuckle if I had said that Leighton wouldn't be ready for it?

zepp will be leading us to the cup, after emery's hip disintegrates and the jumobtron falls on mason at center ice during warm ups.

don't worry, crisis averted. modano's 500th nhl goal game is on nhl network. thank god he scored that goal against the flyers.

I noticed Coburn playing the left side in this game.
Kind of like him better over there.

Been saying that for a long time. Playing on the off side is only a benefit to an offensive defenseman. Coburn would be better off on the left.

He'd have to be paired w/ Streit, Schultz or Fat Schenn to make that happen, though. Not sure any of those guys would survive the matchups.

Gross, Amac and MDZ all prefer the left side.

All the best to my favorite Finnish warrior, get well soon Kimmo!!!

In regards to Hayes, I just don't care. Kid sounds like a spoiled brat who thinks that one good college season at the age of 22 entitles him to be a top 6 forward in the NHL. I hope whatever team does sign him sends him to the AHL just to teach the kid a little humility!

where is Sami K on your list?
has to be #1 or 2
