He's my second favorite Flyers goalie.

You don't want to know who is my favorite.

Just read the Kevin Hayes poop story.

This kid was born to play on G's wing.

There's no price to sign Hayes, he's an unrestricted free agent.

EDIT: The Hawks get a compensatory pick, the team signing him doesn't forfeit a pick

Should the midnight deadline come to pass, Hayes will be free to sign with any other NHL team as a UFA. That team would have to sign him to his three year entry level deal. The team that Hayes eventually signs with will have to forfeit a second round pick in the 2015 Connor McDavid draft. A small price to pay for a mature, scoring power forward.

This is a quote from Garth's corner....just sayin

He's wrong twice. The deal limit is a two year ELC, and the pick is the 54th pick, not from the team.

i figured it was someone from further back. i was also a leighton fan...defended him tirelessly. will always be grateful for his efforts in 2010...a big reason why they even got to the final.

Prior to the Final, he did everything asked of him. I don't hate him, just don't particularly like him. They definitely asked too much of him in 2010

imo, he did more than what was asked of him. literally stepping off the bench in his first game back from a 2 month absence due to a high ankle sprain and got them through the boston series when boucher got hurt. it's a shame he didn't play well in the final. i don't believe that chicago was just too talented for him...he just didn't play well. it happens. the rest of the team wasn't great in front of him either. and even still they came within a goal of game 7 in OT.

i have no problem with him...but it sucks they didn't win it all after everything they went through that season.

True. They were sloppy in the SCF. Guy got claimed off recall waivers in December, then starts the SCF in June.
