I believe in him. I think he has had time to heal. I hope he joins the Bruins and lights the Flyers up in spite.

Kimmo Timonen still can't travel, confirms his recovery will take months. Absolutely wants to keep playing, but doesn't know if he can.

So...as a Flyers fan, you're hoping the Flyers perform badly against certain opponents?

He looked okay in that role. He looked like a far cry from the 40-goal Gagne. I think 15is way more reasonable.
- jmatchett383

For sure... not the 40 goal guy. A couple seasons ago with Tampa he was one of their best players in their run to the east finals...

Not to be an bumhole but its about awareness. Can't see why that would be an issue with you.

THANK YOU!

I vented a bit on facebook the other day about people female doging and whining about how stupid it is. It is not stupid at all. Neurodegenerative diseases get little to no exposure in the grand scheme of "awareness events". So for ALS to get this much attention and get people talking... I couldnt be happier... especially considering I have family members who have been affected by neurodegenerative diseases.

Last I had heard... ALS donations have topped $5 mil since this started.

I just hope he can fully recover from this and lead a long, healthy life. Hockey shouldn't even be a consideration at this point

I agree, but it sucks saying the same thing we just said for Pronger a few years ago.

Can't wait for the inevitable slam your Richard in a drawer challenge for dementia awareness.

I agree. I feel bad for him. It seems like every Flyers great is forced to retire instead of choosing to retire.

If they wanted to make it a challenge, replace the ice bucket with a sack of burning coals.

He played well for them too. Almost identical season as the one before. 17 goals in a short season and played great in the playoffs. The move to LA was what ruined him. The whole team that year was awful offensively and Gagne was still on pace for 20 goals. What exactly is wrong with him health wise?

There are definitely a large group of people who don't donate and dump the water on themselves strictly for attention on Facebook.

The overall effect has been overwhelmingly positive though

- PhillySportsGuy

Have you ever walked past a donation booth where they were collecting for sick kids, abused women or children, cancer, etc? Some people dont have the means to donate.

The idea behind this "challenge" is to (first and foremost) raise awareness to probably the most horrific disease out there. Even if you don't donate, by partaking in the challenge, you are spreading the word.. you are raising awareness.

Agreed. Another in a long list of Flyers who can't retire on their own terms. Sad.

I understand healthy. Even healthy, Gagne scoring 25 goals in a season isn't very likely.
