I'm not sold on how they'll match up against the elite talent in the west. It's certainly an improvement, but far from perfect.

As far as regression goes, no, I don't see regression amongst your top-end talent, but I do see potential issues in keeping them all together for an extended period. It can be done, but it's very difficult to maintain.

Pacific: Kings, Ducks, Sharks
Central: Hawks, Blues, Stars

Wild Card: Minny, Avs

Coyotes will somehow finish 9th even though they have basically no elite talent besides Yandle and Mike Smith. Vancouver in 10th, Oilers 11, Flames 12, Jets 13, Preds 14. I think the Jets really fall apart this year and may even finish dead last in the conference...so much dysfunction up there

It's true. I have them out of the playoff's again. Hopefully not a lotto pick but until they actually improve, that's where they stay. It wont last forever with all that talent, but they gotta go out and do it.

I think the Kings "improved" by not making any real changes. They re-signed Gaborik , re-signed Greene and let an admirable, but aging/beat-up Mitchell walk. They have such a good team and sometimes non-tinkering is the best course of action.
