Ducks, Hawks, Kings and Blues are locks to make the playoffs again in my opiniion.
Sharks, Wild, Avs and the Stars will most definitely be in the playoff race. I think these 4 teams will make the playoffs.
Oilers i think will be better, but not good enough to make the playoffs.
Flames are rebuilding. I think they will still be a little bit better though next season
Jets can be in the playoff race if they get rid of their garbage goaltender named Pavelec, but that is not going to happen.
The Preds maybe can make the playoffs if their new coach works out and their new players are able to contribute. Rinne also has to stay healthy. I doubt they make it though
The Canucks are hard to predict. If they want a chance to make the playoffs, they are going to need the Sedins to step it up. I think they just miss out on the playoffs honestly.
Finally, i think the Coyotes will miss the playoffs again this season unfortunately.
Anyways, the game is played on the ice, not on paper. So anything can happen really when it comes to who makes the playoffs or not.

How does anyone have the Sharks as a bubble team??? They had 111 points last year. They were tied with the Blues. 11 points ahead of the Kings. They made the playoffs with a 20 point cushion.
They didn't hire Torts this offseason, so why would they suddenly fall out of the playoff bubble?

Wild Card is obtainable. I think Avs, Stars, and Wild are all built the same. Strong forward groups but it all comes down each teams goalie/D situation of holding up the longest. |
