just watching the clarke game 2 OT goal against boston - i can't imagine a line of schultz, flett, and clarke was a regular line...assuming clarke got double shifted there.

I'd say it's unlikely we'll see another Recchi for Desjardins and LeClair type of deal in the near future but easily my All-Time favourite trade within the last 20 years. Paul Holmgren was close by pulling the trigger on the Carter and Richards deals (Which I'd say are my second favourite deals) but LeClair and Desjardins became too important to this team to not love the outcome.

and it's also possible that if the flyers never traded him to toronto, they don't win the cups either, as he was coached by plante and improved his game. if he stayed, maybe he wouldn't have become good enough to lead them to the cups on his own.
