Edmonton Oilers

Sure, the Oilers have been near the bottom of the league for years. But with excellent young talent like Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle, they have to take a step forward eventually, right?

(Oops, sorry. Accidentally cut-and-pasted my Oilers summary from 2010. Let’s try again …)

(Crap, that one was from 2011. One more try.)

(Nope, that was from 2012. You know what, maybe the Oilers should have been in that first section after all.)

*NOTE: that first section is "teams that suck and have a shot at finishing last".

What do the Leafs have to do with the Oilers and another 1st overall?

Nothing, I just think those are 2 sad teams who, despite all the hopes, have disappointed their fans for a long time.

I think the difference is that the Leafs haven't got 5-6 years of great picks and having us fans say this year is when they turn it around, only to get another top pick. Leafs are just poop.

Yeah well they traded 2 of those great picks away. But I agree the Oilers right now are a lot more of a failure than the Leafs.

Well, they did get a 2nd pick overall that would probably have been a 1st if Kessel hadn't been on that team.

I wonder how different this Leaf team would be if they would have Hall and whomever they chose to draft with the next year's pick.

Hall is the only Oiler worth building around IMO.

Seguin in Edmonton would have been hilarous.

K... you got me. Think I was saying Ubisoft didn't give as much of a poop anymore because of botched story.

Either way, botched story regardless.
