The same as yours. You know it as much as I do.

Bonjour and Merci goes a long way over here.

It was great to see guys like Gainey and Robinson learning to speak french while they were here. Most player arrive here and think they'll need to speak french to live here...after a short while they learn that they can easily go around Montreal speaking only English.

I agree he should've at least learned "Ta yeule" to tell it to a couple of journalists.

That would've been awesome.

This is the kind of attitude that pisses of a Francophone and you know it.

did he really never say anything in French? this is a guy fluent in 3 languages. i find it hard to believe he didn't drop a please and thank you in French, ever.
- Fountain-San

I think I saw a video of him making a speach in French for the fans but I don't really remember if it was after he was gone from the Habs.

meh. I took languages classes a few years back. it's not hard to believe.

I went to learn greek becasue a lot of my in-laws couldn't speak anything else.

I understand most of it but damned if I can get a single word out. it just blocks.

To Koivu's defense, as a Finnish, him learning French as absolutely no relation to madame Lalancette from Laval patting herself on the back because she learned how to say "OUNA CERREVÉZA POR FAVORE STIE".

I bought some small bottles of that poop for all my friends and family while there but I didn't taste it. I was so disappointed when I realized it was (frank)ing pastis.

I'd like to see PK as captain, although I think MB/MT will go with a more conservative choice of Markov, Plekanec or 3 alternates. It doesn't help that MT and PK hate each other (Eklund 's so insightful!)
