Ehhh that's hazy.

Freedom of Speech actually only refers to your right to speak about the government, and even then it's slightly restricted; you're not allowed to speak up or print something that will directly and purposely result in violence.

You're not allowed to yell bomb in an airport or fire in a move theater. You're not allowed to verbally abuse another person. You're not allowed to scream in a residential neighborhood at 3 in the morning for no reason.

I get it you have a law background. But how is what Sterling said any different than a KKK march. I'm pretty sure those idiots in white hoods aren't saying anything non violent and the police are usually right there. Point is, it doesn't make sense to me. None of this does. Then again, I don't see how a guy can be on your property to rob your home, trip and fall, and sue you?

I don't really have a law background; I only took 1 class last semester but my teacher was pretty good and it was all related to business law.

I was taught that there's technical law and practical law...yea, what Sterling said was technically constitutional and legal. But in a practical sense, the side who has the better (usually more expen$ive) lawyer is the one who wins.

the KKK dont own a professional Basketball team, Sterling did.

The bylaws of the sport that he owned a team in state very plainly that anything that brings the sport and the NBA into a negative light can strip you of your privilege of being a part of their organization after a vote by the the owners.

The second amendment only protects you from the government. It means the government can't put you in jail for saying things it doesn't want said, written, drawn, performed, etc. However, it doesn't mean there will be no consequences. If you curse out your boss you will likely be fired. The second amendment has nothing to do with it. As X pointed out the NBA has rules in place to protect the league from something exactly like what happened with Sterling. The NBA pushed him out, the government had nothing to do with it. It was never a free speech issue.

The KKK has a right to say the hateful things they say. They wear the hoods so they don't get fired and shunned by society since the second amendment doesn't protect them from those consequences.

You got it Dan, but im reaching the point were the KKK might be universally viewed as a better owner for this team then Wang.

Hopefully they are the "other" bid

Seconded. Love hearing former players tell stories about Arbour. It was surreal seeing him behind the bench again for that one game a few years ago. Some were saying it was a gimmick or whatever, but shoot, that's a gimmick I got behind.

That was just a classy move. For an organization with a reputation of doing things the wrong way, they got that move 100% right, however unusual it might have been.
