That is a big ole steaming pile of crap.

Chiasson was a mediocre college player, 35 point AHL player. He goes on a short tear in his first stint in the NHL, and you think he's a top 6 player. He's not.

Michalek, whatever. 20 goals, 40 points. That's your first line winger. Who is frequently busted up too. Sucks.

Turris... scored over 40 points once in his career. Sucks.

Macarthur. We know this guy. He's a third liner. He's okay, can fill in on the second line here and there. But not really good enough to be a regular top 6 player. Sucks.

Bobby Ryan. Decent goal scorer. Will do till the trade deadline I guess. For your sake, you better hope they recoup what they can for him.

Zbad. 30 points last year? That's a top 6 player? Sure, I guess it is. A really Zbad one though.

That's probably the worst forward corps in the entire league. Greening? Condra? I hope you're joking. That's the icing on the steaming pile of crap.

6 possible 40 point players in the top 6 =horsecrap??With a 50 point center on the third line, and a 14 goal getter centering the 4th line.Yep nothing but garbage here

Wow... I've seen ignorance before but not that much in one post.

Alex Chiasson scored 35 points as a rookie last season. He's going to push for 2nd line RW duty. If he fails to make it, he's got the 3rd line RW.

Michalek scoring 20 goals is very likely. I'd be happy with what he got last year as long he plays a two-way game. He's our 2nd line LW.

The fact that you used the words "we know this know guy"....no... you don't. The words that follow prove you don't. He had 24 goals and 55 points as the team's best winger last season. Points aside he played all situations; leading all wingers in ice time. Busted up? Missing 20 games the past 4 seasons...

Ryan is the only write up worth reading.

Mika Zibanejad... well talk to Sens fans at the end of year. If he isn't injured it might close to double the point total you just threw out

possible 40 point players?

Hahahahahaahahah.

There isn't a team in the league that doesn't have two lines full of players that are possible 40 point players.

You've got to be kidding me.

When I think contender I think teams that have a shot at winning the cup, not just making the playoffs. I think the Penguins will do just fine making the playoffs.

I think Pitt and Philly are pretty equal. Besides Philly is stuck in neutral until there d prospects arrive. Phillies offense is a pretty serious top 9. Their d is a whole other question.

From a Toronto fan that's not even insulting. How many times has Toronto made playoffs in the 2000s?

- AlfieisKing

Yeah, I'm sure he will. He'd compete for 2nd line on most AHL teams too. Him competing for a second line spot is a good testament to the crap in the Sens top 6.

Michalek scoring 20 goals is very likely. I'd be happy with what he got last year as long he plays a two-way game. He's our 2nd line LW.

As I said, 20 goals, 40 points. Meh.

Umm, yes, yes we do. Busted up was Michalek, not Macarthur. Read much?

Ryan is the only write up worth reading.

- AlfieisKing

He's alright. Wonder where he goes next year.

Mika Zibanejad... well talk to Sens fans at the end of year. If he isn't injured it might close to double the point total you just threw out

- AlfieisKing

Sure. Sure he will. That happens all the time. Players just up and double their production. All. The. Time.

I suppose what you say is true though. He might. In fact, Kadri might close to double his production too. So might Kessel. JVR might too. 60 goals. He might.

Well lets see ,Chaisson scored 37 as a rookie ,Michalek is good for 40 ,Zbad had 33 in limited time .Ryan,Turris and Macarther all had 40 plus. Now add in Legwand ,some promising kids like stone, lazar and hoffman.Along with a very good 4th line in Greening Condra and Smith all three should be good for around 10 to 14 goals each .And i still fail to see where our forwards suck

A Preds fan taking shots at another teams forwards

Lets see how Neal does without Crosby or Malkin.

Fisher at 34 might still be able to crack 20 goals. Wouldn't bet on it though.

Matt Cullen will be 38 very soon. Prob won't get more than the 10 he got last season.

Paul Gaustad 34 at that cap hit ha.. Maybe 10 goals

Stralberg at 28 in his prime doubtful for 10 G

Jokenin 38 soon doubtful for 20 G

Riberio 34 good for 10 goals

Derek Roy 31 doubt he gets 10 G

Richard Clune maybe 1 or 2 goals.

This teams forwards are OLD & not as talented as they used to be. Cast aways signed in Nashville because no one really wanted them.

anyone who think pittsburgh isn't a contender is on something. look at the east, it is terrible. so many potential lottery teams (sabres, sens, panthers). so of course the actual good teams like pittsburgh, toronto, and boston will obviously be contenders.

How is Toronto a contender? They had a terrible offseason and lost more players then they gained from a season that they missed playoffs? They will be lucky to finish higher then NYI
