I'd take a shot at Bailey. I'd offer either Smid or Wideman depending on what the Isles are looking for and see if they bite. I'd even throw in a 4th rounder with Smid.

I honestly don't blame you... Smid is terrible. Wideman's fine in a limited role, and very good on the powerplay, but not really a net clearing kind of guy.

Yeah I'd be looking elsewhere for a d-man if I had my way. I actually really wished that Snow went out there and pushed to get Gorges when he was available. That's the kind of guy that would have been a perfect fit here.

Over on JJ's blog he suggested the idea of Calgary taking on Johnny Oduya to help the Hawks address their cap issues.

I'd love to see him in a Flames Uni. Great second pairing partner for Russell, and it wouldn't cost a ton to get him.

Hey Colin how about notes on how klimchuk and Bennett did in wjc summer development camp. Not much hockey to talk about these days so love hearing about our prospects.

You might be right, but I think there'd be a market out there for a guy like Oduya. I think that's the price it would take.

just dont think Ramage is enough, have to think what they could get for him as a deadline deal sort of trade.

They would rather pawn off Versteeg and Rozi for a 7th round draft pick us giving away Oduya on the cheap
