Perron + couple picks (not a 1st) for Nelson + Bailey
- ystoil

I think Nelson will eventually be more valuable than Perron, so I wouldn't do that.

dont think they move Boychuk, they have cup or bust written all over that team. They need Johnny B for that. Hawks with Oduya could be interesting target.
- DDM-Coga

Boychuk is a pipe-dream for sure. But with unsigned, RFA Krug getting that monster offer from the KHL, Boston might end up having to pay more to keep him than they expected and being up against the cap already that won't be easy. Sure they could probably dump guys like Kelly and McQuaid for nothing to clear room, but I can dream.

That's fair. Proposed it due to Perron's ability to help you guys now, maybe more so than Nelson. I do think NYI makes the playoffs this year however I feel Perron would help ensure that more than Nelson but definitely the possibility Nelson breaks out this year (hate to bring up Buff having your 1st this coming summer).

i think if NYI really wanted to improve, they would make a move for another Dman perhaps using Nelson.

Edit: Perron - Tavares - Okposo

I like Perron but think Snow has put the untouchable tag on Nelson. Plus I wouldn't do the trade either...

Want 2 ask......

If K. Turris didn't get traded would he have been a career 3rd liner? Sometimes a change of scenery is whats needed for a young rushed F.....

- Ur Not Me

When Turris was traded he had 3 pro seasons and 2 of those were in the NHL. So these are completely different scenarios.

I actually think, under the right circumstances (linemates, style of play), Bailey can be an average 2nd line LW.
- ystoil

You are right but I think he can be better than avg.....

Bailey for Nyquist and a conditional 5th
- eichiefs9

Is the conditional pick based on if Bailey makes the roster?

Can't blame him. 6''3 200 lb versatile centres don't come around too often.

Isles don't need help at F position. Plus if Nelson somehow gets traded its gonna be in a package for an elite type Dman not just any.

Ya us Oiler fans say the same about moving Eberle, Yak, etc but truth is, there aren't any elite type dmen available unless you gamble on:

1) Someone with potential that hasn't quite shown it yet

2) Someone who has shown promise but taken a step back/stagnated

3) Someone with warts on or off the ice but still young they could adjust

Players like Tyler Myers, Gudbranson, Bogosian, Kulikov kind of fall in those categories.

It's certainly a nice line. Nelson excelled last year with JT and KO when Vanek was out for a little, so he's definitely going to get a long look there.

The only trade Snow should be making is one for a defenseman. I'd be hesitant to move Nelson, unless it was for someone ridiculous.

Good because we need a (frank)ing right handed shot that isn't named Alfredsson on this team.

We could always get a 3 team deal together and Calgary could be the team on the right. Would you want a pick or another player/prospect?

Unless it's a first rounder next year I wouldn't want a pick. Player or prospect preferably. Or both.
