There's always going to be bias people but some posters are a little overboard sometimes, or all the time I find. There's nothing wrong with being a little realistic now and then...

Do you think you might be a bit biased? Same guy that says Ryan's better then Kessel. Stop being a homer and be realistic. He's not the best player in the NHL, but him winning the Norris isn't out of the question.

I recall the TSN talking heads call Karlsson the best player in the world not too long before, or even just after the Achilles injury. It stands out in my head because he generally doesn't get the respect he deserves from North American media.

This talk was very real. I remember it as well. (Maybe wrong here but) I think TSN was talking about it in the pre game of the game he got injured. I think it would take a combination of Karlsson having a historic year and guys like Crosby, Stamkos, Getzlaf, Malkin, having severely off years to have Karlsson win everything. Too wishful thinking in my book.

I think this is Andersons job to lose heading into the season.. I can also see Lehner taking the next steps necessary to challenge for the #1 spot as well.

Lehner is still very young as he just turned 23 a month ago, he has a lot to learn. & who better to teach him than veteran Anderson.

I hope they give Andy a contract extension mid season if all is going well. You can never have to much strenth at the goalie position (save for Vancouver last year)

when Lehner is ready to fully take the #1 job (60+games) in 2 seasons, we'll still have a good backup signed in Andy. now the question is how much will he want on what will most likely be his last NHL contract? he could be lights out like 2 seasons ago & want big $$$ & term or he could be average like last year & get a fair deal from the Sens.

I'm excited to see how this all plays out this season in Ottawa.. A lot of unanswered questions for a team that looked to be on the way up for 2 seasons into the 3 year rebuild, but had a small setback last year. get your popcorn out folks its going to be a good one.

I think both goalies will have a bounce back season, but I think Lehner will have a chip on his shoulder and push to take that number 1 job pretty quick.

Side note. Can we believe the hype yet about Lazar yet?. He is dominating for Canada right now. I believe 6pts in 2 games something like that.

0:28: that could easily be Mark Stone (rw) passing to Zibanejad)
0:45: EK65; that's the play we don't need. good recovery, but...
0:55: Gonchar, L shot that can get points, boy I miss that. #46?
9:30: Michalek-Zibanejad-Silfverberg had tons of chemistry. Again, Stone on that RW would make a solid line

One of my all time favourite Sens games!

I really miss the leadership Alfredsson brought to this team.

J.G Pageau was amazing in this game. He has a great shot & good skating ability. Here's to hoping he can develop into a good little NHL Center. With our depth at center I'm wondering if he gets a look this season.

I'm hoping we can trade Greening or Condra or both soon. I want see what some of the younger guys looking to make the jump up can do.

They will. There's a player everyone is forgetting about called Erik Karlsson, EK is going to win the Hart, Norris and Lindsay award this season.
