White is a good skater...just doesn't have much hockey sense offensively. He could be an effective 4th liner / PK guy if he'd learn how to effectively control his emotions

Well, we needed to replace Downie and Hartnell.

Guy is so skinny he'd get destroyed by nhlers.

He needs to put on some weight I think.

I watxhed him play all last season and he was really skinny. Good for him if he put on some weight. He really needed it.

In your honest opinion, how did he look this year in juniors?

A guy his size should have been more dominant agaisnt 16 and 17 years old but the talent is obvious. Growing as much as he did obviously didn't help him get the muscular stature needed as early as others who are 6 or 6'2.

He'll be a very good dman in the nhl once his frame is built, imho.

Just don't rush him.

Only a few games. Gotta find coverage online for the most part.

He's pretty tall. Could make him appear lankier to you. I'm sure you've caught way more of his play than I. What did you think?

Edit: never mind. I see you just answered that

I'm fine if they wait until his junior eligibility is gone and he plays a year in the AHL before even considering him as a regular piece of the defense

If he did put on 20 pounds this summer? Maybe he's ready?
I'm not sure if he still has to play a year of junior or if he can play in the ahl... but the ahl would be better for him at this point. Or you keep him in philly in a sheltered role.

Yeah.... maybe he'd be better served in philly right away with limited minutes. Junior won't do any good for him I believe.

I was thinking a year in the AHL would do him some good, as I'm a huge proponent of that minimally for just about every player.

So that would be 2 more. Totally reasonable.

I mean, he could make our defense now, but really why risk stunting his growth as a player

Playing against lesser competition always makes players better.
