With teams like philly these deals are perfect. The flyers could be in or out of a playoff Spot by the trade deadline. If they are in and MDZ is playing well then great. If they are out trade him for a pick from a te desperate for some offense on the back end.

I can already see it. They will want McDavid to go to a Canadian team. Then they will rig the draft so pheonix or Florida can get an American star in Echiel to get more fans. It's a smart idea by their part but I don't want the NHL to be like the NBA.

Ya boston and Pitt are locks. Tampa is a pretty safe bet. Then Philly,Toronto,Montreal,Columbus,NJ,NYI,NYR, Detroit will fight for playoff spots.

Don't look now, but they've assembled 3 pretty solid scoring lines and their D is going to be populated with some fantastic young kids this season (Gelinas, Merrill, Larsson)... along w/ Mr. Schneider holding the reins.
